Global warning is true, but you don't have to become hysteric: Solution exist, it just ask a lot of work...
Nuclear power for example could be use without gas (except H2O) and could be assist with alternated energies sources (solar panel), electrical car are better then never (But it's still need a lot work), we still need a lot of petrol but these guy are smart and fond solution to do diminution of the gaz in the air (Some start to it in the ground, pretty deep)...

We bury nearly 1,000,000,000 pounds of useable fuel every day in landfills that are notorious for polluting our environment.
Nature teaches us how.
With trash a problem... we should also consider improving current uses of trash to energy, making it cleaner
The more baskets available to put our "eggs" in the better.
