~NICE~ THIS HAS GOT TO BE ONE OF THE BEST DOO-WOP SONG'S EVER. I FIND MY SELF SINGING THIS TUNE EVERY TIME I HEAR IT. IT'S JUST ONE OF THOSE SONG'S THAT HAVE THE POWER TO DO THIS TO ME !!!!
Tony is still around here in Long Beach, CA. He's been on my husband's internet radio show a few times. I have a couple interviews with him up on my youtube site at sylviascloud. This is a great song of his. So thanks for sharing it.
@Sylviascloud LA sound was a beautiful strain of the do-wop/r&b/vocal harmony genre. Always polished, LA groups were soulful and sophisticated, a precursor to the late 60s-early 70s black group sound renaissance. Beach Boys borrowed heavily from the harmony structures and orchestrations of the LA group sound, of which Jesse Belvin was the leading purveyor. We need to keep this culture alive to bridge the gap to the new wave of word sound power that will elevate us as a species.
Nice record my friend. I had not heard it before but I'll certainly be dropping by to hear it again. I like it a lot and thank you for sharing.
