Thanks for the informative videos! Forgive my ignorance, I think I understand the short-stroke function. But do you use the rest of the drive for another volume (non-boot)? Or are you setting up this array and single volume just for boot/OS, and then storing data somewhere else?
Be sure you're installing the raid driver (F6) prior to installation. Plus the two raptors have to be identical. Can't be a 36gig and a 74gig. Must be two of the same. 2x 36, 2x 74, 2x 150, 2x 300, 2x 600. RAID 0 works best on Matrix RAID.

@jeevespreston Correct. With the matrix RAID, you could RAID 1 the remainder for critical data for protection.

Ive been unable to build a raid so far..
2 sata rapters 1 pata maxtor 1 sata dvdrw
trying to raid 0 the rapters...fails...either hal.dll error or blue screen stop error...pain in the butt.....
