everyone does the basic block and yes the tonfa does a great job at that and really everyone should learn that at first
however I never see bending with the strikes as oppose to only blocking
In ancient sword work and medieval sword you will see this concept of blending with or riding with the on comming strike
plus in medevial sword work you have the concept of half swording
