I got a question how would u grab her if she was in the nest and she already has a colony? cause she would be under glass preventing access and the colony would protect her how would u get her out then or would the colony deal with the mites themselves? I plan on starting a colony soon so please reply soon!
Yes they get stress. Anyway, if you consider the description, the queen was mite infested. After cleaning, she started to lay eggs and is now founding a colony.
