i dont get it- they were rehearsing in Dublin and people could buy a ticket to watch them rehearse? or this is an actual gig?

essentially it was gig but the band would change things or try out different approaches to songs - micheal for example was changing lyrics as better ones popped into his head and then the next night he'd try them out in front of a crowd. The whole idea was to try and get the album to sound less like it was hammered out in a studio like around the sun was - hope that helps
