  • More jazz the better. You guys are great, you should try to pick up Bob Brown from Albuquerque into your group. Keep up the good work.

  • Once completed the audio shall be of even higher quality. The album should be completed and ready for official release sometime in 2012. Other tunes featured on the album will be "Begin the Beguine," " Blue Skies," and a host of original tunes written by the Artists themselves. The album will feature the following Artists...Wayne Wesley Johnson, Lou Pallo, Thom Bresh, Tom Doyle, Tim Farrell, Edgar Cruz, Anthony Smith, Jon Gagan & K.C. Morris. Keep an eye and ear out for it.

  • What a fun project this has become. The tracks here are all in rough mix form. They've yet to be final mixed and mastered. Mastering will be done by Grammy Award winning Airshow Mastering of Boulder, CO. All were recorded acoustically with mics only.

  • I came back to listen to this again. No particular reason. Just wanted hear some real artists on great guitars.

  • 3:59. artfully slidin'

  • I defy anyone to sit still while listening to this. Top notch playing by everyone.

  • great

  • Awesome! I mean, it's not often a room full of guitarists can produce such magic. .. and lol@ the ending

  • What a killer clip! Highest praises to all...tasty and respectful

  • Thom, just fabulous. What will happen in 20 years, when all the instruments from the jazz age fall into the hands of men and women whose first instinct is to play "Enter Sandman" instead of "Mr. Sandman" on them?

  • The musicians were familiar with Gibson and Heritage in particular, but most curious about the ones they selected. This in no way takes away from the importance, musical, tonal or historical significance of the other instruments or brands. Instruments used in the sessions can be seen in my facebook photo albums. Wayne Wesley Johnson

  • Other instruments present at the session were...Gibson Citation, Gibson Kalamazoo Award, Gibson Super 400C, Gibson L-5C, Heritage American Eagle and Unity. Each artist that participated in the project was asked to select the one they wished to perform with. In fairness to all one must recognize that some of the artists had never seen an older NY Epi, Stromberg, D'Angelico or early Benedetto, because they are so rare and hard to come by.

  • And not a Gibson in sight (well maybe an es130)

    Great vid. Thanks for posting

  • WOW!!! The musicians... THE GUITARS!!! The studio...

    Excellent work!

  • I swear only by D'angelico's handmade guitars.

  • hey the bass is an archtop too!

  • great

  • Only thing that would have made it better if Tony Rice was there. He can also rip this tune.

  • Too bad you guys didn't have any nice guitars around to do this on Great video! I can see the smoke curling in the air of a still room. Nice mood. Thanks for posting!

  • Great playing!

    Martin
