this series is legendary. they're always had great graphics for the system and take a lot more skill to play than people realise. I don't care if it's a copy, this is amazing and I'm considering buying a ps3 for this game and its sequel.

This isn't Wipeout.

It's not Wipeout unless TDR on visuals, Psygnosis are on code, Fluke is somewhere in the soundtrack and the atmosphere is distinctly gritty.

Anyway, nothing wrong with Fluke, but I digress. It looks to me like classic Wipeout in 2008. You're looking at stock footage, so of course they're going to have "clean, clinical" course runs. The computer is probably running a sim for the footage or a playtester with 400 hours of practice is controlling the game.

Just wait for it to come out. Then judge.

often in trailers like this they'll remove someone controlling the ship for one of the players and make it all AI racing, that way they can control the ships movement extremely accurately for the best looking shots as the camera pans around it. I don't think it'll be that easy to control lol.

I don't dislike FZero, but what you say is untrue. As far as I recall FZero GX is on the Gamecube, in 480p with low resolution textures, no normal maps, no HDR... Sure it looked great for the Gamecube (One of the best) but it cannot be compared with a next gen title...

youtubes fault deffinately, go look up an HD version of the trailer. the Normal maps HDRI lighting and texture work is a lot more obvious. on a game like this though, it's hard to tell the diffrence when it's super blurry. you want to see a sharp image of it to see the diffrence.

lighting is better, more geometry, better textures, you can see it even in low-res-youtube. but i agree that F-Zero GX is probably better, what a game that was, everything was sick, just needed online support. Long live F-Zero. btw i'm still very interested in Wipeout HD!
