My mum used to work at Coventry colliery as a comptometer and they pulled out all 1500's for here and even steamed one just for here then gave here 1501's smokebox plate as a leaving pressy of which she still owns to this day
hello, my friend has just brought a class 1500, it is 1504 ( in 7 1/4 ) it is a beautiful loco, its in Brunswick green, it really is nice, we haven't steamed it yet as we haven't collected it , i will upload a video of it running and will let you know as they really are fabulous looking locos ! so thanks for uploading a great video many thanks.
because the whistle is from a king! and 1501 does'nt have enought steam pressure to make it sound right, thats why its squeaky, but that is another thing that i think makes 1501 unique.

@joshwellburn I saw her at Bridgnorth in March 2010 when I last went to the SVR. Her overhaul had just started.
