Kamile doesn't show much Newtype potential in fighting. All he seems able to do is detect when people are in trouble and communicate with them. He really doesn't seem to be like Amuro who could sense what people were going to do next. Granted this is episode 30 out of 50, but the word newtype was brought up in episode one compared to the original series which had it introduced very late.

Kamille can speak to the dead, has telekinetic powers, long-range telepathic abilities, incredibly accurate precognitive senses, and extremely strong empathic powers, and he can do all of this almost at WILL.
I think he's a solid pilot too: it's been said that being a Newtype doesn't automatically give you the experience needed to become a good soldier and fighter, and eventually once he matures Kamille gets a lot less dumb about his tactics.
He's no Char though, who manages to be a fantastic pilot without being an especially powerful Newtype at all, or Amuro Ray who is an exceptional pilot AND an exceptional Newtype at the same time.
I REALLY enjoy this series, the mobile suits are incredible, the fights epic, and the stakes high! Zeta Gundam is probably one of my fave Gundam designs now, and the enemies it fights are pretty wicked look too. gundam mark II and Methuss kick ass as well

I feel similarly, but the titans really don't have much reasonable motivation. The AEUG is fighting for survival and against oppression where as the titan's are just fighting to quash expansion. The AEUG have as far as I can tell not involved anything but military instillations in their attacks.
Whenever I hear a Titan using the motivation of "wanting to end the war" I get a little dubious....

What is Kamile's goal, what does he need? Jerid needs to get to the top, he needs to get revenge on Kamile for killing his lovers/friends every step he takes Kamile sets him back. Kamile is after the Titans for killing his parents but he never really liked them in the first place. Kamile dont get motivation till Four dies

The one woman lost her life for not following orders and flanking the enemy--Sarah even said so herself and she fled the battle, leaving her superior officer alone. Kakricon died before Jerid could reach and assist him, and Lilah was attempting to teach him to be a better man/pilot before she was shot down as another casualty of war. I'm not completely absolving Jerid of his dickery but he's a soldier first and a thinker second.

Either his allies are shot down/flee the scene or before he can destroy Kamille one of the AEUG's mobile suits interferes. And the mom incident? Jerid waited in a Hizack and executed his orders, which were to destroy a capsule (that was released to space) if the AEUG attempts to retrieve it. He didn't know the contents and once he did he apologized to Kamille. Rivalries in Gundam series are far from intricate.

Beam weaponry is absurdly effective in the Universal Century universe: it basically ignores armor when it hits the target, so if you get hit in a limb, kiss the limb goodbye because it's GONE.
