  • God’s free gift is eternal life through His Son, Jesus Christ.

Jesus died for your sins, He was buried and rose again. Simply believe in Jesus for eternal life. John 3:15.

    Once saved, always saved.

  • man thanks for putting this on i cant stop listing to it

  • i love this

  • this is my favorite song and

  • Wow, I feel odd and tingly. What an interesting song.

Haven't listened to Christian music in a long time, stumbled on this accidentally. I remember being impressed with Natalie's emotive voice years ago. Now, as a grown up atheist, I seek and respect truth. And this song expounds one truth that Judeo-Christian culture gets absolutely right: you only get one life. So take advantage of it to do well, by yourself and others both.

WE GOTTA DO BETTER THAN THIS. Indeed.

    Inspiring song!

  • i abosutely love this song!!!!! and Natalie Grant!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i love......this song....

  • Did you record this from the radio?

  • I like this song cause everyone I know wants me to do just like them and they seem to have been judging me. This song makes me know that he still loves me no matter what I do. when it comes to me and my husband our families are seeming to think that we need to please them and everyone else, but we have our boys to raise and we are doing well but we are not them. we are not perfect and they were not either. To me they should just keep us in prayer. Everyone makes mistakes!!!!! Love u Lord

  • I like this song cause everone I know wants me to do just like them and they seem to have been judging me. This song makes me know that he still loves me no matter what I do.

  • I love this song and totaly agree with what this song says!

  • @TheJustJordin : Yes, this is a duet. Its's Natalie Grant and Jordin Sparks. Jordin wrote the song for her, so she dueted it woth her.

  • me and some of the teenagers at my church sang this sunday night :)

  • love it (:

  • I love this song I can play it over and over ilisten on k-love

  • The 2 people that dislike this must be workers for the devil.

  • Dear Natalie Grant,

The raw truth of your music is almost too much for me to handle. When you sing, "I'm human, you're human, we, we are human," I think to myself, wow! Truer words were never uttered. Thank you for choosing songs with such lyrical genius.

    Sarcastically yours,

    Drew

  • I love this song and that I cried the first time that I listened to it yet now I don't but I still think about the words that it says

  • Whoever disliked this song is stupid.

  • @mrcooltwix true

  • @mrcooltwix Probably not stupid at all. Probably wounded. Remember Jesus said we should not judge others but love our neighbors as we love ourselves. Judging is for God to do.

  • I love this Song. God is just so amazing, The world would be a much better place if everyone listed to what God is telling them. And do what the song says. "A little love, And little kidness" We are made in Gods image.

  • I like this song, but it sounds way too much like 'Human,' by Brandy, to not have been greatly influenced by it. Brandy's came out last year, or earlier, not sure.

  • natalie you sing very awsome mayb we should do a douet one day!

  • Thanks Robin. Thanks Access. Thanks Natalie.

Wonderful song. Praise the Lord for our strenght in Him and for Him.

  • Love the song <3

  • i love this song!!!

  • The human that the song refers to are the believers. We are called to be humane, We are createdin God's image and we are scarred by indifference. In other words, We wear our iniquities and Christ redeemed us. We are ALL God's children. But, the beliver is set apart and commisioned to do better than this (the world around us) We have one shot to get it right and show Christ's love to the world. We have one life. We are human just like the "bad" element of our society. They are lost, we are not.

  • To those who are asking about the human part and in response to the secular comment.

"We are marked with His image,

    We are scarred with indifference.

    Maybe now we should listen,

    Hear the cry of

    God's Children."

  • @lrspies I love that part of the song! :) Humans its time you follow and listen! Before time runs out..

  • LOVE THIS SONG!! But I don't quite get this part...

    A little love

    A little kindness

A little light in this time of darkness

It’ll be what makes us different

It’ll be what makes us human.

How does love and kindness make us human... Any thoughts?

  • Comment removed

  • @ellissambaird well for me it means like wen we show love and kindness it will make us different from others. And since as humans we are capable of showing love and kindness its parts of us that makes us human.:)

  • @ellissambaird You are absolutely right. It doesn’t make sense at all. If “Christian artists” should write and sing songs, it ought to have some theme or teaching based on the Bible. I like the melody of “Human”, but it sounds more secular than “Christian”. This is just my opinion for what it’s worth.

  • @lundgus: I find it so questionable why anyone could question the intent of the song. It's a positive song and it seems that you are reading into it way too much. Look at all the songs out on the radio and compare them this song. There's no hidden meaning, just listen to the lyrics.

  • @Live4Jesus21 I agree with you that the song has a “positive” message, but is it according to the Bible? My contention is if you are writing “Christian music” you ought to represent the Christian scriptures accurately. Nowhere are people called to be “human”. Christians ought to be discerning in all areas of life and this would include the music to which we listen (I John 4:1).

  • @ellissambaird When Jordan wrote this Natalie Grant was saying that she meant that sometimes animals treat their own better than we humans treat one another. We are the only beings with souls, so we need to try to do better with our own. We have one time around in this life. It's our soul that separates us. :)

  • i love this song!

  • this is true we can only do our best with what we have just do not be wasteful if you can the lord will provide somehow

  • Musically I think this is very aesthetically pleasing, but when I listen to the words it leaves much to be desired. I would like to ask Jordin Sparks and Natalie Grant what do they mean “we are called to be human” and after giving a little love, kindness, and light will make us “different” and “human”. By nature, humans are given over to depravity and it is only those humans that have been given Divine Grace that makes them "different". Christians are NOT called to be "human".

  • @lundgus Christians are in fact called to be human. Only Jesus was 100% man and 100% god. He is not expecting us to be perfect like Jesus was as much as we would like it. God made us in his own image and He wouldnt want us to be something we are not. God knows that we have our flaws as humans but He still accepts us. We are called to be human but just because we are human does not mean we cannot live a godly life.

  • @adomarc You are very correct that Jesus was fully God and fully man. But no where in the Bible are Christians to be called to be “Human”. Christians do have a corrupt nature that follows them until death or the 2nd coming of Christ and this is why Scripture constantly calls Christians to be “holy”. Paul says Christians are “Called to be saints” (Ro.1:7), “Called to be holy” (I Co.1:2), “Called to peace” (Co.3:15), "Called us to a holy life” (2Ti.1:9). I think the lyrics should be revised!

  • @lundgus just because we are called to be holy does not mean we are not called to be human as well. if God would have wanted us to be perfect robots He would have made us that way but we are made to be human.

  • @adomarc With all do respect, do you have a Scripture verse to support your opinion? I am human too, but I could be a mass murderer, except for the grace of God. If I committed such wickedness, I could blame it on being "called human". Forgive me for being so blunt, these are just some thoughts.

  • @lundgus So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. 28 God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground."

sounds to me like God called humans to be um human.

  • @adomarc Respectfully, I think you misunderstand. When someone says, “You are called to be a preacher”, it means that a person is called to a particular duty or purpose and assumes the person is not presently doing the vocation. God did not in the Creation call Adam to be Adam, for Adam was already Adam at the point he was created. Now in this circumstance, God did “call” Adam to reproduce children and use his God-given authority to care for the Creation. I hope this helps.

  • @lundgus and natalie grant is saying that we are called to be human. her definition of it is different though. but w.e.

  • @lundgus maybe if a person was a mass murderer then their definition of human is totally wrong. and maybe that's the problem God's definition of human is probably different than the mass murderer definition

  • @lundgus "a little love, a little kindness, little light in this time of darkness.it'll be what makes us different. it'll be what makes us human." natalie grant is saying we can change the whole definition with a lil love, kindness, and light. it'll make us different from the "mass murderer" definition.

  • It was written by Jordin but her produces wouldnt allow her to sing it ( said it was to postive for the "worlds" radio so she gave it to Natlie:) I Love it! u cant tell Jordin worte it thought :)

  • i LOVE this song so so much!!!

  • First heard this song on 93.9! I was looking for it everywhere!

    Thanks :)

  • in LIVE is better cause have Jordin~~

  • Such a great song plus Natalie grant has a beautiful voice

  • amazing video, she has an amazing voice! God Bless

  • Jordin should have been on this w/ her.

  • This song is so awesome :)

I spent a while trying to find it... I heard it on the radio but couldn't find it anywhere until now! :)

  • It's NOT duet??? I'm angry...

  • @TheJustJordin I was too, but I guess not...

  • @TheJustJordin Dude I KNOW! You would think itd be like a bonas track on the cd wit Jordan Sparks

  • When I first heard this song on youtube with Jordin Sparks, i thought it was a good song...But yesterday i returned from a 10 day mission trip to London, and the song has a whole new meaning to me. Seeing so many different cultures, hanging out with kids from Brazil,Russia, all kinds of places. Even making friends with Muslums, it showed me that we really are ALL human. they were no different from me. the only difference between us was that they were going to spend eternity in Hell and I wasnt.

  • @godthroughmusic316 they won't have to spend eternity in hell if they get saved. plus, how can u be sure you're going to heaven? based on that comment, i think u need to check yourself.

  • @ChildOfGod102 I know that they won't go to Hell if they get saved, that's why I was there planting seeds, but i was saying that just because they have a different religion or culture doesn't mean they're any different from me... they deserve the Gospel just as much I did(which wasn't at all) but God saved me, and can save them, just the same. I know for a fact that God has saved me. That was what i was saying with my comment

  • @godthroughmusic316 i know. i wasn't trying to be... whatever. i was just confused at what you were trying to say. i thought you meant they had no hope of going to heaven and that you were definetely going to heaven. because even though you're saved, if you turn away from God and don't go back to him when he comes on earth, you won't go to heaven. so there's still a chance that you won't go to heaven even if you're saved cuz you never know what might happen that will get you away from God. :)

  • @ChildOfGod102 i understand how you could have misinterpreted what I said, it was hard to fit all i wanted to say in one comment so there's no hard feelings. But actually I don't believe that a person can lose their salvation...

  • @godthroughmusic316 well i think it's kinda possible though. I don't think it'll because of something God did. i think if someone does lose their salvation, it's cuz of their own fault. like i said, maybe cause they start doing bad things and they don't turn back to God? i really don't know so maybe i should just stop talking now:)

  • @ChildOfGod102 lol its ok. i just think that if a person does do something like that, they wouldn't lose their salvation, they just probably just weren't saved to begin with. but that's just what I believe

  • @godthroughmusic316 yeah good point. we can just drop the subject tho. Did you check out my website?

  • @godthroughmusic316 The dumbest comment I have ever hear in my life .. people get to God through many different religions .. maybe you should go back to school and learn a little

  • @godthroughmusic316 That's pretty funny. Remember this: Jesus taught us to pray to God and say we were praying in the name of Jesus Christ. Don't you suppose Jesus knew that other people in other places would be praying to God in the name of other prophets?

  • @godthroughmusic316 I'm a Christian and I read your comment and the part that i don't support is the last line. God loves EVERY human on the same level. What, you think just because you're a Christian secures your place in heaven? God's grace is sufficient for ALL who want to be in His kingdom. And the only one that can condemn any human is God, not you.

  • @anonymousdei i was not condemning anybody! I was saying that because they have not heard God's word and accepted it, they were going to go to Hell. I know God's grace is suffecient for everybody and that he loves us all equally, but he only grants it if we ask which the people there hadnt done and that's why I was there. To help plant seeds of Christ. and actually yes i do believe that my place is secure in Heaven. REALLY WISH PEOPLE WOULD STOP MISREADING MY COMMENT!!!!!!!!!!

  • @godthroughmusic316 You could have planted seeds in their hearts that will last forevor. God has probably used you to minister to them!!! So you might see them in heaven if they decide to give their life over to christ. I hope that happens!!! Can't wait to meet you in heaven tooo. :D
