Simcity 4 deluxe edition & rush hour differences

I understand what you are trying to present in this video but I notice you took a few shots from the trailer... The trailer may not yet have been the finished project. Regardless, there is a patch that updates it to the foamy spray that can be found on their website. I am thinking that these may be differences due to updates.

@RobotWarsStocker deluxe is simcity 4 and rush hour in one disc, i dont like it so much because in deluxe you can not have a smooth scrolling like in rush hour, well i prefer to have them separately, install simcity 4 and then rush hour, but you have to have a good video card with more than 32 mb and it dont have to be an ati, because simcity doesnt works with ati in hardware mode, i recommend a geforce 6200 or greater, well, good luck and enjoy!

i got the normal edition of simcity 4 and i love it but after watching all the other things i was wondering is it worth getting the other 2 addons? and if i had to choose between the 2 which is better?

I think that in europe (and maybe some other parts of the world) there was a cheap version of SC4 released, that actually wasn't the 'deluxe edition' ... it was just sim city 4 deluxe ... which is a bit of a fix

Hint: u drive a steam or freight train and go to maximun speed, the train will descarrilates, sometimes it will spread toxic spills

is deluxe easier than rush hour? and how come there are some buildings in deluxe which i can not get in rush hours? i mean those 7000 occupation commercial buildings. rush hour keep giving the same ones, and i hate getting the same buildings over and over again.

@fdjw88 well, both are the same but i recommend rush hour because of the graphics and smooth scrolling (you need a good graphic card)

I've got Sim City Deluxe Edition WITH Rush Hour. also Answer: They are different games, In rush hour, the transport system is different, because the game MAINLY focuses on transport.

u guys, deluxe edition has 2 discs and when u buy rush hour its an un-updated version. In deluxe there they say which version it is. (1.5) in rush hour is it another one (1.2). its an update and if you like it or not, you cant change it in the game or something. you can download updates for deluxe, but the rush hour animations are not in there.

if you like rush hour the most, dont update it.

The reason rush hour has more stuff and seems better is that in delux you are buying one game but in rush out you are buying 2 games becuse u need simcity 4 to play it

No... It can sometimes depend on the cd and the version of the game... The cd sometimes limits the game to a smaller version. Deluxe Edition is more convenient because it has only one disk but Rush Hour needs 3 disks ( EP Disk and Main Game Disks). Version's can get patched so they gain more objects in the game and so forth.

Deluxe Edition has Rush and the Main Game(Simcity 4), while Rush Hour is on its own and you need to buy the main game because they are seperate disks.

the water from the fire fighters in Rush Hour is probably a mod or manipuled picture ;).

cause in my game (Rush hour) the water is like in your deluxe edition. (whitout the toxic :)

Yo tengo el la Edición de Lujo y nada de eso me pasa, todo funciona a las mil maravillas, lo de la explosión de el coche es normal, sólo que en el D.E. tiene un grado de daño, mientras en el otro con sólo un golpe explota, lo de las mangueras no lo entendí, nunca me han servido para larga distancia, ni tampoco para lanzar espuma sea cual sea el caso, sólo agua.

yeah if you just google simcity patch the first link should be the one to ea website, and you can download the right one from there :)

not sure if it'll fix it, but i think it does, because I remember something being mentioned in the description of what the patch fixes.

well. i bought the rush hour and many things has changed. the foam spray has changed, the quality and graphics has changed, the textures and the speed of the game has changed, but the only thing that has not changed is the ferry terminal. why? I don't know
