  • Bo Jackson!!

  • GOD I LOVE THIS!!! NFL nothing better baby!

  • Been trying to find the Good Old 1960's CBS NFL Intro music ?

  • Old school football. Outstanding music.

  • Thanks for this vid - John Facenda, Ed and Steve Sabol of NFL Films and all those great classic themes - they were all great

  • John Facenda!

  • And FWIW, Ed Sabol, the creator of NFL Films, was inducted in the Football Hall of Fame this year.

  • among others: Walter Payton, Jim Brown, Sammy Baugh, L.T., Johnny U, Joe Namath, Dick Butkus, Kenny Stabler, OJ, Dan Fouts, Fran Tarkenton, Jim Plunkett, Art Monk, Barry Sanders, Gayle Sayres, Earl Campbell, Joe Montana, Dwight Jones, Thurman Thomas, Elway, Daryl Talley, Larry Czonka, Tony Dorsett, Marcus Allen, Troy Aikman, Doug Williams, Franco Harris, Pat Tillman.

  • @xptwillie Well done! A couple of the others: Dennis Brown, Johnny Olszewski and Bob Kalsu who after his rookie year for the Bills was killed in 'Nam..

  • @smbake I was running out of room, otherwise I had the jersey numbers, too. And the "regulators, mount up!" is an obvious homage to the film "Young Guns" with Emelio Sheen, Kiefer Sutherland and LDP. And props for putting in Pat Tillman and Slingin' Sammy Baugh. Where's Norm van Brocklin or Alan Ameche? ;-)

  • @xptwillie I forgot a couple others..Chuck Foreman, Marion Motley and last but not least Brian Piccolo..

  • someone once said that John Facenda could make a laundry list sound epic. The guy was epic

  • Now, here's the real challenge:

Who can name all the players shown in this vid?

  • Whats the song called from 2:05 called?

  • @Dannymac82

    Pony Soldiers.

  • Ive looked up The Power And the Glory looking for that song at the beginning but i cant find that specific one. help?

  • @Jerry11606 A few years ago I bought a cd thru Amazon called The Power and the Glory: The Original Music & Voices of NFL Films.....This song is track #2...The Power and the Glory. I'd recommend buying the whole cd, it's pretty good.

  • @smbake Thanks for the help! AWesome video by the way!

  • @Jerry11606 no problem and thanks. It was fun putting together.

  • @Jerry11606

The song with the lone trumpets is called "A Chilling Championship", the fast paced one that follows is "Up She Rises"

  • Who knows the song in the beginning ? 0:00 to 0:14

  • @DrinkSomeSodaBitch It's called The Power and the Glory by Sam Spence, who did the music for NFL Films, and of course that's John Facenda doing the narrating.

  • @smbake Actually, it has a few names, but the quickest one to find is "A chilling championship" By Sam Spence :P

  • "Professional football in America is a special game. A unique game. Played nowhere else on Earth, it is a rare game. The men who play it, make it so."

John Facenda, you truly were "the Voice of God."

  • Thanks for taking me back and Liked the tribute you did at the end to those who also were heroes in the battlefield.

  • @mont1le Thanks for the comment. It was fun putting together and I had to include Tillman and Kalsu in their somehow.
