  • I just completed ( well almost ) this painting following your instruction, what a wonderful talent you have and nice of you to take the time to post these lessons thank you.

My wife thinks my painting is beautiful,,,,well it's not bad for someone who hasn't painted for almost 50 years. Here is my problem, wet on wet, great way of painting especially when you are marrying or blending the colours but I can't get the white paint ( for snow ) to apply, I have to wait until it dries now,,thanks.

  • Ricky : thanks for the heads up on the dvd.been practising clouds all night and day, think i did really well, bit basic but ill get there....one day! thanx again.Ricky.

  • hi my name is ricky, ive always wanted to become a great painter like yourself and have always been good at drawing.its really helpful to watch the technecs you are showing as i have only just begun to learn.keep up the good work as I will watch and learn a lot from you in the future, many thanx

  • @TheSlick234 hi ricky thanks for the comment its a pleasure to do them for you,you know ive a dvd out which is called brush loading techniques and it will give you the tools you need for wet on wet painting, take care bud

  • hmmm...maybe a more purple/gray hue to the snow mounds to reflect the upper sky(with gold/gray highlights, due to the lower sky)...possibly less detail (or more darkness) in the background mountains being that they are in semi- silhouette with the sun behind them. I'm being hyper critical. (don't take offense) Overall its very very nice and caught my eye.

  • очень хорошо!

  • @MrKillerdead его удовольствие мой друг

  • Fantastic work.....Thx for sharing....

  • Am I the only one that watches Mic and curses him out? Way to effortless Mic at least you could do for us newbies is make it look harder. I find myself watching and yelling at the computer screen because your paintings are too good and too effortless. Someday ill get there, untill then Ill be yelling.

  • lol

    you will get there

  • no, your not the only one!

i do the same thing and yell at his videos....he makes it look so easy and inspiring that you want to start painting straight away....then once i get into it, i start swearing at him again coz i cant quite get it right...i agree, its all micks fault for motivating us, then frustrating us!

  • i am running classes now its easier when im there right infront of you to guide through the little important things that can so easily be missed on video, you guys make me feel guilty lol

    take care

  • the sky is amazing

  • glad you like it

  • nice one!

  • does it take long for oil paint to dry cause it takes forever for mine to?

  • yeh they can take up to two weeks to dry it depends on the climate were you live, here in england its a while but good things come to those who wait.

its the best medium for wet on wet style.

i hope this doesnt put you off oil paints coz they will last 2 3 400 years if they r looked after see ya
