  • I have never said this about an old man before, but Martin is adorable in this episode. The way he bemoans Christmas coming to an end like a child; that we learn he takes baths with Eddie; and, that godawful caterwauling of his!

  • for once i think roz stole the show. except for frasier's incredible reaction to his own shouting about peace.

  • Daphne's perspective is heartbreaking! She is the sweetest person.

  • Have they forgotten who's the person upstairs? CAM WINSTON! hehehe love this episode

  • Looks like a pajama party at the end.

  • I love it when shows go back and retell what happens through each character's POV.

  • Oh those beasts! Poor Niles!

  • I didn't like the line that Martin says at 11:07 [to Daphne who threw the fancy sofa pillow]... "this is not the sort of trash you were brought up in". It seemed very unlike Martin to insult someone else's heritage or upbringing, nor to be snooty in any way. He had his bad points, but he wasn't like that.

  • @dredericktotem1245 After reading your comment I tried to figure out what Martin was saying, and although he did mention that the pillow Daphne threw was "fancy stuff", I didn't hear him saying anything about her bringing as you heard. Perhaps you heard it wrong, because that would indeed be untypical of him.

  • @asalmog No he definitely says it. Go to 11:04 and put it on ►LOUD◄. He clearly says: "This isn't the north of England. You don't go throwing furniture around here. This is decent stuff. Not the sort of trash you were brought up with." Earlier @ 11:00 he says: "What kind of a house were you brought up in?". Unpleasant stuff coming from Martin.

  • @dredericktotem1245 He does indeed say that, you are correct. But, you have to bear in mind that it is seen from Daphne's perspective, and as we know Daphne has a tendency to exaggerate to others when she has had a falling out with someone in order to make the other person look more wicked than they actually are and to garner sympathy for herself. It's Martin, he would never be so mean.

  • palegrino rocks twist is my favorite holiday statement . Ask for it in nyc

  • Two things I learnt from watching this

    1. Kelsey Grammer has a great voice

    2. Roz is hot when she is angry.

  • I love it when Frasier goes hysterical and starts screaming. It's too funny!

  • the guy upstairs? isn't frasier's place the penthouse suite?

  • Hmm. In all the syndication versions I've seen of this episode, they never include the "People...lady with my coat?" line, which is funny because I've always noticed that she totally steals his coat.

  • Did anyone else notice that the shot of Niles at 11:22 makes him look uncannily like Frasier?

  • I love how when they show it from Daphne's perspective it shows how oblivious she is to all the stuff Niles says, hinting that he loves her

  • my fav part is 4:05 and 5:55 and the knocking! i like how niles stand so close to daphne and where he took off her coat and started smelling it haha its cute!

  • "Don't you talk to her like that!" >:(

Oh Niles! You are a babe!

    x

  • I really think the Christmas episodes are the best! Except Seasons Two, Four and Nine where there wasn't any. I love the Halloween ones two, but like the x-mas eps, there are only a few in the Frasier library. Curious huh? :/

  • haha daphne's story is great lol " i thought u were dieing" gotta luv her

  • haha daphne's story is great lol " i thought u were dieing gotta luv her

  • @rivetgun2000 I'm into voices and hers always gets me going. voice-over work for her is a cinch.

  • Frasier:I think you make an adorable ms. claus

  • Frasier:I think you make an adorable ms. claus

    Roz:why,cause i gotten so fat

  • niles sniffing her coat! hahahaha!

  • the people on the elevator were a-holes.

  • Frasier is without a doubt the greatest television show I have ever seen.

  • @CapitalBhoy78

It is top ten of all time...

What do you think of Seinfeld?

  • @LDis1 Not bad, not as good as Frasier tho.

  • ross is such an adorable mrs claus! :)

  • MARRY CHRISTMAS!... (Smash) lol

  • Niles is always the FUNNIEST!!! he cracks me up !!! everytime!! :D XD XD

"I'm sure you've climbed plenty of trees when you were a boy"

    "it's Dr. Crane's brother"

    "Aaah"

  • 4:58 was among the funniest things ever; I need that on a loop for forum posts...

  • and 5:56 lmfao....

  • 04:05.... God that makes me laugh...

  • 14:41

Frasier does a VERY good job of hiding that rising feeling of DREAD...

  • Anyone else notice Niles sniff Daphne's jacket? Just shows how well he plays his character.

  • Not wanting to lower the tone on this fantastic program, but did anyone else notice "Mary Fukuto" in the credits?

On a more serious note, this is one of the best episodes i've seen. I like thier branch out into view points.

  • @VeryAngryBear she worked on all the Angel/Abrahms productions: Taxi, Barney Miller, Cheers, Wings and Frasier

  • john mahoney singing what's new pussy cat would be mindblowing

  • "Mrs Claus was up very late last night!" Brilliant!

  • my FAVORITE lines from this episode come from Niles:

    "People?! Lady with my coat."

"Oh my God! We´re going up! Someone STOP THAT THING!"

  • Isn't having your napkin tucked in to your collar considered to be 'vulgar'? It is here. I thought the Crane brothers were supposed to be 'refined'.

  • Martin: No. I'm afraid with three of us doing it might look stupid.

  • This is by far the best season of Frasier ever! Not that the other seasons aren't amazing, but this season seems to make me laugh the most. Thank you so much for uploading these episodes!

  • What I enjoy most about this episode is that it illustrates how we can distort a situation based on our point of view - Daphne's stories shows it best.

  • This episode is ridiculously well-written.

  • Each actors perspective was different and unique. It showed they are all individuals with different viewpoints. Perhaps they were trying to show they are human beings with individual thoughts and feelings just like the rest of us. If everyone understood and followed that concept, maybe we would all get along better. We could all learn much from this and various shows if we spent the time listening and enjoying them instead of trying to find inconsistencies and flaws in them.

  • @MrMallman like rashomon

  • @SongsofInnocence - Not sure what you meant by that. :)

  • @MrMallman Rashomon is a short story written by the Japanese author Ruynosuke Akutagawa (and filmatized by Akira Kurosawa - the director of The Seven Samurai and Ikiru). It depicts the violent assault and rape of a princess in medieval Japan by a local bandit. There were several eyewitnesses to the crime who all portray it slightly different depending on their viewpoint and perspective at the time. Sorry I think this comment applies more to tempest 9123's comment.

  • It's great how they all remember things differently. Like when Daphne is standing under the mistletoe what Niles says is different, and Niles walking in after the elevator he believes he composed himself when Daphne remembers him looking miserable.

  • SLAPSTICK HUMOR IS RARE IN THIS SHOW FOR SUCH GOOD REASON AS TO MAINTAIN A HIGHER LEVEL OF QUALITY BUT SOMEHOW AS THIS EPISODE PROVES, IT CAN BE DEEPLY FUNNY WHEN WRITTEN WELL.

  • "That's doctor Crane's brother"

    "Ohhh"

    "Why is that man crawling?"

    "That's doctor Crane's brother"

    "Ohhh"

    Hahahahahaha! That's a good one

  • Thank you so much for all these uploads - I love Frasier and watch your videos on youtube when I'm stressed from essays, upset, homesick, bored, need to wind down before bed or if I just want to laugh!! Thank you so much, I appreciate it more than I can really say! xxxx

  • "This is the night that we celebrate peace and togetherness! I will not have that ruined!!!"

  • Saaaaaaaayyyyy!!!!! Kelsey can sing!

  • @twiwonder Kelsey also sings Frasier's closing theme song--the "Tossed Salad and Scrambled Eggs" one.

  • Some things divine...! A star is born LMAO........

  • P.S. Where is the gift that Roz threw on the ground and why doesn't Frasier or Roz see if it is okay ^_- (I guess they heard the tinkling and decided it wasn't salvageable, lol!

  • @KuddlyKisses I went back and looked...the gift was champagne glasses...I don't think that noise was good either =P

  • from 19:40 - 20:04 is my fave scene. Frasier and Roz are like a couple. If only....

  • @prosper30 My thoughts exactly. . .

  • Did anyone else notice Niles sniff Daphne's coat at the beginning of the episode!?

  • @KuddlyKisses Sure did ^_^ You have to keep an eye on Niles for all the little things he does.

  • @Razylll Ha Ha, how true! Niles is my FAVOURITE Frasier character and one of my favourite actors ^_^

  • @KuddlyKisses I just love this show...I watch re-runs just about everyday. I find it to be a great "boon" to my day! lol

  • @KuddlyKisses that's what DHP used to do, even when the camera (he might not have been in shot) wasn't focused on him, he would make sure he was doing something to do with Daphne

  • @lulucouture23 cracks me up everytime too :-)

  • Thanks for uploading! I love the part where Martin sings :-)

  • @Kiikkanen I laughed SO hard at that! Can it be creepy and adorable at the same time? Only with Niles...

  • 6:22 - and the Niles/Daphne shippers rejoiced...

  • Lllllady with my coat? LOL

  • they coulda just changed keys for him to hit the notes LOL.

  • Fantastically written episode!

  • "Tell me what I'm supposed to do when I see Jesus the first time?"

    I actually lmfao'd.

  • The scene at the piano is just pure brilliance.

  • David Hyde Pierce is the best!

  • -.-...lady with my coat

  • I agree with Martin... Christmas is over so quickly. :(

  • omg the only frasier episode i have never seen!? must have creeped thorugh a crack

  • jane leeves is quite brilliant in this episode. i do think daphne gets pretty rough, insensitive treatment at times.

  • @ilikeoootoob totally agree

  • lol anyone notice Niles sniffing Daphne's jacket at 1:00?

  • Notice how Daphne only hears the Niles she imagines, just as Dr Kranes brother. Hence why she never notices his flirty advances or remarks.

  • of course, on the other hand, Kelsey is a fairly outspoken Republican, and by the way, every major male actor in the series is gay --- John Mahoney, David Hyde Pierce, Bulldog, Chesterton, etc . . . . I think that might be one reason the series has so many episodes featuring overt and covert gay references . . . . .

  • "Why is that man crawling?"

    "That's Dr. Crane's brother."

    "Oh."

  • THIS Christmas "montage`" IZ really HIGH-larious! LMAO X 10 ! hahahaha <_^ Great Upload, iamerican...! Thank U!

  • For a guy who loves to ramble, he gets bored of stories pretty easily.

  • Damn, Kelsey Grammer can really sing.

  • DIIIIVVVVIIIINNNEE!!!

It sounds like a werewolf howl!

  • DIIIIVVVVIIIINNNEE!!!!!!

Lmmmaaaaaaooooo!!!! That note nearly made me choke on my drink!! Absolutely hilarious!!!!

  • A Frasierian Rashômon :)

The way Daphne "sees" everything cracks me up...

Let me freshen your drink, Niles!

  • 1:00 niles sniffs daphnes coat

  • the transcribed captions are hilarious

  • is it just me, or is DHP voice deeper in this series?

  • @twilightxmidna yeah... he sounded really different

  • is it just me or is christmas really eventful for the crane family.

  • Omg this is hilarious!!!

  • Thanks for all these episodes! Are you a right wing repub? If you are it's surprising that you would be such a huge fan of a show with two openly guy actors.

  • hahahahaha .. don't get me started :) ... suffice it to say ... i am about as far right wing as you can get .. but that means very libertarian ... gay guys .. i am not gay buuuuuuuut i really don't consider it any of my business if somebody is and david hyde pierce is probably one of my fave people both as an actor and person ... judge andrew napolitano is best spokesman for our little wing of the party :) and keep in mind "main-stream" reps may detest obama but they HATE us hahaha

  • @iamericanright what is wrong with his policy?

  • That may be the dumbest and most ignorant statement I ever heard. Just because someone is a republican, they dont like gays? Im republican and could care a less if someone is gay, AND Im pro-choice. Stop believing all that liberal hate speech! liberals are the most hating intolerant people on the planet!

  • @BERGBEARBERG I know that David Hyde Pierce is homosexual, but who else is?

  • Right, because political beliefs should override your entire life.

  • @BERGBEARBERG Two? Who else is besides David Hyde Pierce?

  • @0Tanesha0 Bulldog

  • @BERGBEARBERG I know David is gay, but who is the second?

  • @Lexandrazk

Dan Butler, the actor who plays Bulldog.

  • Comment removed

  • @sharongt hey, sorry, didn't realize a couple other people had asked the same question. Thanks for the answer :)

  • @sharongt Actually, the actor who played Gil Chesterton makes it 3.

And, 4:58 - 5:07? One of the best bits of the entire series!

  • @Lexandrazk David (Niles), Dan (Bulldog), Edward (Gill) & John (Martin) are all gay. I have nothing against gay people and love all of these fine actors, just not in that way ;)

  • @BERGBEARBERG

kelsey grammer isn't gay... (i'm completely for gay rights and what not)

  • @myriadofbrightideas i can kind of see why kelsey grammer went out with the Playboy bunny- overcompensating for being the ONLY straight guy on the show much? lol

  • @BERGBEARBERG I know Niles is gay, but who else?

  • @devil6ish66 Martin Crane and Bulldog :D

  • @devil6ish66 Niles is gay and the other "implied" gay is Gil Chesterton.

  • @BERGBEARBERG who said kelsey grammer was gay???? only david hyde pierce is

  • @freakster05 Yes...Kelsey Grammer just seems to have commitment issues, what with all his marriages and relationships, I mean. I mean no offense to him, of course...

  • @BERGBEARBERG

Pierce is gay but who is the other gay in Frasier?

  • @sadetune Actually there were three openly gay actors on Frasier--David Hyde Pierce (Niles), John Mahoney (Martin, their father), and Dan Butler (Bulldog Briscoe).

  • @frostedheart63

John Mahoney is just a rumor.

  • @sadetune John's hometown is Forest Park, IL. He doesn't flaunt the fact that he's gay, but in his hometown he doesn't hide it, either. Those that know him used to be able to find him at the Nutbush Gay Bar there...

  • @frostedheart63 Its confirmed about Butler and Pierce, but I have yet to see information confirming Mahoney. I did find an article from a British newspaper where Mahoney confessed that while he dated, he wasn't interested in marriage. The article was done in 2002 and gave me the impression he wasn't gay. The article was in the Observer.

  • From the Oberserver - [Mahoney] expected to marry, and has had several long-term relationships, but it never happened for him. 'I was never very mature in my relationships with women. First sign of conflict, I was gone. Wouldn't discuss it, because I was afraid it would lead to an argument. I took the fear of marriage from my parents' relationship

  • @BERGBEARBERG I think you mean gay actors not guy actors. Also Kelsey Grammar is openly a Republican.

  • @BERGBEARBERG just because someone is a republican, doesn't mean that they despise gays. I'm a republican and I could care less where someone wants to put their you know what. As for Frasier, it's a great show.

  • Loved it ... a sort of "revolving doors" frasier...

  • Is the guy in the lift related to Jack Nicholson?

  • the closed captions are hilarious

  • Lol I can't believe it

  • come here, well im fine, no no you need a hug, well.. alright -haha

  • Awesome quality; how do you upload the whole video?

  • 0:59 lol Niles smells the jacket...suprised the audience didn't notice.

  • I noticed the smelling of the coat.

  • Well..good.

  • I always love the details in this show like Niles sniffing Daphne's coat when he takes it despite him not hving focus right then.

  • and what a gentleman helping her take off her coat...ahh...

  • 4:55 funniest Frasier moment ever

  • Wow, Kelsey has a nice voice

  • ahahaha!!! ive been looking for this episode everywhere! i love it when martin tries to sing!

  • @CyNtHiA155 This is an awesome episode! Any by the way, my name is also Cynthia, and my previous comment is right below yours... lol. :)

  • I agree with Martin, about how the saddest thing about Christmas is how quickly it's all over. :(
