Oblivion is unbelievable good game couse freedom and combat skill but i dont play it much cause i am online gamer. Online games where real player skill resides.
This game will be fantastic. Previews have already said it's much more solid than Oblivion, which was a fantastic game anyway. People should just realise that Bethesda know exactly what they're doing instead of disowning the franchise. The game's there to be enjoyed. Let's wait until we've played it to decide whether it's awful and a complete travesty and a shaming of the name.
Which it won't be; the fanboys are just too elitist to embrace change, even if it is for the better.
i bloody hope fallout 3 will have the same atmosphere, the same black humour and some kind of relevance to the previous games. fallout 1 and 2 were the best spent hours of my digital life, i hope the game is huge, and i swear that i will become a billionaire just to see bethesda ruined if they go for greed and screw the amazing trend of fallout 1 and 2 up.
I love the Fallout games. Hopefully Bethesda can make this game a little more enjoyable then Oblivion. I don't enjoy playing games that make me sleepy like Oblivion did.
I have been a hard core fallout enthusiast since 7th grade when I played the first game all those years ago. I trust bethesda to do the right thing here. I understand that it's a business and they have to make it marketable but I don't think they are so foolish that they'd completely ignore the purists. I am so psyched that Perlman is back!!! It's not Fallout with him.
Fallout 1 and 2, were the best games I ever played. Fallout: Brotherhood of steel for the PS2 sucked total balls. And Fallout Tactics... Well it was okay I guess. But not nearly as good as 1 and 2. Let's hope that they stick to the TBS styling of 1 and 2.
i have been keeping up wit the progress of this game since it started and although interplay isnt DIRECTLY involved they are still struggling to keep involved with this game just cause its a new company they dont have the balls to interfere with the name fallout made for it self and interplay has even stated they will take legal action to keep it that way W00T
At this time i am very sceptical to what they are doing. If you listen to the interview with Todd Howard (executive producer of bethseda) it seems that hes more intrested in making just another game.
Why pay for the licence to call it fallout when the game thats beeing made isnt anything like the original. But ofc there is a whole year left or so, and hopefully im wrong ofc i will buy it.
But right now it seems that part 3 will be some shit game with a fancy name.
This game looks amazing. Yet people can't look beyond the fact that it's a new company behind the wheel. Sure, there IS a chance they'll fuck it up, but get off your fat fanboy asses and give it a chance. It looks unbelievable. I think it'll completely revamp the Fallout world.
Bethesda will screw up Fallout. Fallout is all about excellent writing and realistic feeling choices. Bethesda only knows graphics and big size. Fallout 1 was made by a small group of talented people. Even THEY got lucky with that game, which is a cult classic that I play still. The best game ever made, if you ask me.
See the thing is... people are afraid of change. It reminds me of when the American Idiot album was released, and all the "old" Greenday fans hated the new album.
Seriously thought right... Its got over a year for the release date. Chill out and wait and see.
OMG, How shokcing is this. Judging a game from a 2 Minute 25 Second Trailer... Which looks awesome in my view. Oblivion is a great game, sure it has its flaws but every game did. The Team working on this are all great Fallout Fans.... and I am sure they wouldn't let the game crash and burn! I mean lets face it, it can't be any worse than Brotherhood of Steel.
I'm tired of the fanboys shitting all over this game without seeing the end product. Being negative about an unreleased game is about as pointless as being excited for one. Nobody knows how badly this game will suck. The only sure thing is that it will never live up to the hype. Fallout, we hardly knew ye...
The heart of Fallout has always been great writing and design. Bethesda has never demonstrated such qualities, so most likely they will screw it up. I god damn hope they don't, however. And yes, Bethesda is a mediocre game designer, at least when it comes to RPGs. They try to hide awful gameplay, story, writing and world design with sheer quantity of horribly made fed-ex quests, and it seems that people actually swallow it.
Bethesda made great games...but they are going to RUIN the fallout series. Example: the dialogue options in fallout were a massive part of the game...the dialogue options in Oblivion were some of the worst ever created, despite it being an overall amazing game. Recently the creators of Fallout 3 have said they will be using the Oblivion dialogue style. But im sure all the console jockeys will lap up this title as soon as it comes out for the pewpewpew and graphics.
Didn't the Simpsons use this song for one of their Halloween episodes? One where the aliens leave Springfield a nuclear wasteland, and then say they didn't find any WMDs?
The idea of the Fallout games is that it's a post apocalyptic world set in the future that's totally messed up but everyone is in denial everyone keeps saying it's A Ok giving the thumbs up sign.
this game is gonna rock! also LOL at ctisefan! there is NO lord of the rings score in the end you freaking noob! that sounds alot like the original fallout song with some new sounds. yeah not lord of the rings... but its gonna be cool, i wish i knew exactly who did that song though, 50's music seems to be catching me ear.
It was written by "The Ink SPOTS" in the FORTIES... you fucking moron.
If you can't even get those right, it'll be unlikely that you're accurate about Bethesda, either. Which you are not. They are a mediocre developer, at best.
It doesn't matter, they didn't "steal" it, since they used another song from the same band in Fallout 1, this is just a continuation of that. Do you honestly think they "stole" it from some crap unknown ancient game or whatever.
From the game informer preview it sounds like an Elder Scrolls 5:The fallout edition, NOT a true fallout 3 game. No turn based combat, a level cap, the added bonus of worrying about food and water, and deteriorating weapons. YAY for fucking it up before its released! way to go bethesda! this will be what batman and robin(a piece of shit) was to the batman movie series for fallout fans.
You should check out Fallout 1 and 2 also. They're great games and they're so old that you'd probably be able to buy'em both together for less than 10 bucks. That's what I did.
No way, this is a PS3 X-Box 360 exclusive. Anything else couldnt handle this. I beleive it is also for the PC, but you better have a damm good one. The gameplay is gonna rock, because there will be no level control of the mutants, and if you wander into a difficult, dangerous zone and you are a NOOB....lets just say youre hr=ead will explode faster that a ballon on the sun.
The music is "I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire" by the band The Ink Spots. Interplay tried to get this song for use in the first Fallout game. However, they couldn't get the licensing so they instead used the song "Maybe," also by the band The Ink Spots.
For those of you who are complaining about the music: The song style is supposed to be an homage to the music during the cold war which was a time when tensions about the use of nuclear weapons were at their peak. Besides that you could just listen to the lyrics and realize that it fits perfectly. Stop complaining.
Huh? The games take place in the mid-to-late 21st century, albeit one in which the world prior to the bombs hadn't advanced much stylistically from the 1950's.
What did you want, industrial metal or some other stereotypical music like that. It doesn't ruin the feeling, it creates the mood. Its that fact that a song like that has no business being played in a post-apocalyptic world. Everything is out of place; nothing is as it should be. Look at the items in the bus. Someone is trying to remind themself of a better time, then were shown the destruction that surrounds the bus.
Almost orgasmic. Do you think it could possibly be as good as the First Fallout? I don't know if I can wait that long to find out. Oh, and if that is in-game graphics, I'll be praying that my computer will meet the system requirements.
