@EpicDrPepper It is getting more popular than the xbox's RROD because microsoft fixed that and if your xbox gets it microsoft will replace is free of charge with free packaging. Sony is doing nothing about the YLOD and has no helpline or warranty. You have to replace it with the full charge. It seems paying for xbox live pays off.

You would think Gamestop of all places would know that xbox 360's are sensitive when it comes to keeping it ventilated. The main reason why most people get the RROD is because people play ALL day and they have it setup where the system is not ventilated and it can't breathe, which will eventually overheat.

Those consoles are not plugged in asswipe. When you have no A/V hooked up it flashes 3 red lights quickly forever like that. Any other issue flashes then solid. Anyone with common knowledge on xbox repair can tell you this.
true, when mine had RROD it flash's a couple of times then pauses for 3 seconds or so, then does it again. not consistently flashing like this. I own both a ps3 (got it just for GT5!) and a xbox so im not taking sides here, but my ps3 slim died after 28 days (unlucky i know) which i got a direct swap from the store, but my xbox lasted a good 2 years or so before RROD which was also fixed.

I love the overheat comments. If they were well-designed in any way, they wouldn't overheat that easily.
Try having your Ps3 run so long it starts making an annoyingly loud buzzing noise, so you literally wrap it in your jacket so you can't hear it/the sound is muffled and let it run like that another 12 hours, and it still works perfectly fine.

Those cases. are so small, theres nowhere for the air to go. They should just like chain the xbox down to prevent theft, not put it in a bubble and fry it.

@Timster480 no. if it was a power problem,the actual power brick would turn red instead of a green or amber color. 3 rings either means it overheated,a disk drive error,or like some problems,which was fixed by using penny's but I can't remember what it was.

@MaterChief2530 no,if the cables were unplugged there would be 4 red lights blinking. Stores like walmart,ebgames, blah blah,always have they're consoles in very tight non breathable containers and that's why they always never last there.

I love the overheat comments. If they were well-designed in any way, they wouldn't overheat that easily.
Try having your Ps3 run so long it starts making an annoyingly loud buzzing noise, so you literally wrap it in your jacket so you can't hear it/the sound is muffled and let it run like that another 12 hours, and it still works perfectly fine.
Ironic.
I don't encourage this, just my personal experience with PS3s.
I like knowing that even if I intentionally abuse my console it still works.

@mcstyle24 wow another little kid going on with the console wars, the only good difference of the ps3 that the xbox 360 doesn't have is blue ray compatibility that's it, sure you may have to pay to play online for the xbox but the money you pay gets you to fix any problems with it, take a look at call of duty black ops on both systems it has had many problems on the ps3 but very few on the xbox. so they are pretty much even. it is so annoying to hear kids like you go on with the console wars...

@TheTuubittaja Actually, 4 rings happens when there is a black out or you pull the plug. 3 is an internal error (this is the worst) 2 is over heating, 1 is hardware failure. No i did not google this nor am i a nerd. Ive gotten all of these before.
