with the amount of wideness you get with that you might as well just take a step back...its probable the same amount lol...except without the shitty glass..
Using a wide lens on sr11; after attaching it, in camera's settings, go to 'home' button (upper left) [if using lower right button it will not go there] then the tool box on the lower right side (first aid looking box) then go to 'movie settings' -on the 4th page (press the down arrow) theres a button for "conversion lens". Press that & then choose "wide lens". This will adjust the math/etc for it. The diff is not huge to our eyes, but big on the final project & overall look.
@themagicman2010 - When I use it with my 50mm f1.4 prime lens, it has very hazzy portion around the view :( and when I use with the kit lens, at fully zoomed-out, it distorts the edges of the image, like a concave effect (almost fish-eye).
yeah, fisheye is not the same as wide angled lens. Wide angled just, well, widens the view. more peripheral view. Fisheye does that and makes things look bigger and deforms the picture a little.
@ZZsk8taZZ Its a really great camcorder. The only thing i don't like is that it doesn't have a nice night mode. Everything else about the camera is amazing.
@xTomei k thanks and also, when you use sony vegas and render it in 1080p, how big is your end file cause when i rendered in 1080p its like 7 gigs for a 1 min video so i cant upload to youtube? thanks
@ZZsk8taZZ Try rendering in a different file format. wmv, avi, mp4. I use .mp4 and use custom settings. There are a few tutorials here on youtube. Just search "sony vegas youtube hd".
if you want it to be rounder just open up the fisheye and turn the second lens inside out. Check out my videos because im using the same fisheye and you will see the difference
Can't even see a difference

Why do people keep making these Wide-angle lense videos and not specify the Brand & Model of camera, Brand, Model & size or lense or both?

How did you edit your video in 1080p mode? My video editing programs won't handle 1080p, they only handle the setting after the slow motion mode..
CrazyMkay 1 year ago
@CrazyMkay I just uploaded the video straight from my camera. It shoots in 1080p. Otherwise you can use sony vegas pro.

Is there any chance that you could help me find a 63mm adapter ring to a
larger size? I can't figure out how you found someone to buy a 63mm lens
from.
Would you be willing to sell the whole kit thing?
andyenzo90 1 year ago
@andyenzo90 search "HMX20C lens" on ebay. The 63mm is the front threads made for a filter.
xTomei 1 year ago
how did you mount it on the camera with a 63mm mount?
andyenzo90 1 year ago
@andyenzo90 It came with a ring that converted to the size needed.
