Can someone help? i want to switch from a 1500m runner to sprints. i like going for casual runs. i want to still run 5k runs and do cross country and get fast instead of slow twitch muscles? any ideas?

I ran college track for Big XII champions. All of these exercises and drills are legit and we did probably 75% of them. I would also like to see actual sprints, 100-200. Work all Winter, do not fail Summer.
YOU WON'T STOP GROWING if you "start too early". You can only stop if you're training wrong and you overuse your back system. Physical activity makes the production of growth hormon higher, which means u will grow better with proper physical activity. Gymnasticians are small cuz of selection as same as basketball player are high. Not cuz they play basketball, they play cuz they're high. How high you will grow depends ONLY on your genetics!!!

@psolarhidi I used to be in the sprinting team of my city, and I can tell you that all he's saying is 100% correct and my coaches made me do the exact same drills (btw I used to run 10s99)

Come on people, drink a cup of concrete and man up. Spandex boohoo, do you think you want to be wearing heavy clothing items when you are trying to achieve maximum speed and momentum? And even though some Africans are very good at running and athletics, judging by the spandex, you don't match up to your stereotype ^^. Are you guys naturally born athletic and muscular, lucky... :D

1 thing though, I don't really think young kids exercising is going to stunt their growth. I believe you see shorter people in gymnastics, as you said, because their body type is optimal for their sport. You see longer armed people in swimming because their body type is perfect for their sport. People with those body types will succeed over people with less optimal types in their specific sport. Just my obvservation
these drills have come in MEGA handy, im 14 and this is really uppng my game alot! my starts were very fast, but with the tips im taking it to new levels... and yes, i wear adidas powerwebbing - what this dude wears. it compresses your muscles and keeps your bloodflow strong and fast to conserve musclular energy. i was told to wear these by my physiotherapist, who is the head physio for the england football first team . so cut the guy slack.
I don't agree about draging. Just check an Asafa Powell's or Usain Bolt's slow-mo videos. They do actually drag their legs. And these guys are the ones who definately have good technique

@walishdragon what that makes no sense just cause I and 36 other people were not informed that we would be flashed in this video doesn't mean that we are insecure about ourselves stop trying to be a know-it-all when you know nothing who are you a therapist? @HomeVidEdd Ok! You caught me! I'm not a therapist! I don't know everything! I've been living a lie my whole life and taking out on people on the internet! Thank you for bringing me into the light. I can see clearly now the rain has gone. I'm also really really dumb, and not smart. I bet you're really smart. Wow, I want to be just like you. Stop trying to act like what you say is important. You don't know me, so why would I listen to you.
