I met Joe backstage in Nottingham last month, he looked shattered but when i asked him to sign my Hysteria album he took it,ran off and reappeared 2 minutes later with the album signed by the whole band then posed for pictures with me and then the others came out to see me and this was only minutes before they went on, they went on to give a brilliant performance and for that i will always see this man and the band as legends

@coltong400 I agree he was taking meds for a while, but if I recall correctly, he stopped using them because the steroids did more harm to his back then good because of the tearing to the cartledge. He just needs to go out and walk and ride a bicycle more and put the fork down that's all.

Dio's recognition as being so loving to his fans was the same as his recognition as being one of the greatest voices in hard rock and metal.... make no mistake about it!!!!

If Ronnie James dio was a man who spents his time slagging bands, He would have not been so respected and loved by millions through out the years. Even now as dead, you can go in the internet and read the amount of love and suport he has goten by everyone in the music indusry. He was a man who spoke his mind, he was a genious. He did slam DL in a video but only cuz he was being provoked, he then opologized.
