  • Phil Jackson OWNS red

    11 > 9

  • Jackson hung on M.J.'s balls. 2003 L.A. beaten in the 2nd round by the Spurs. After, Jackson clashed with Bryant who had a personal distaste for Jackson's brand of basketball and subsequently called it "boring." In games, Bryant would often disregard the set offense completely to experiment with his own 1 on 1moves, incensing Jackson. Bryant managed to test Jackson's patience enough that the "Zen Master" even demanded that Bryant be traded, although Laker management rejected the request...ROFL

  • Red stopped coaching at age 48 with 9 championships as coach. How many did Phil have at age 48? Red was part of SIXTEEN Celtics Championships.

    Red OWNS PHIL Jackson.

  • Phil has kobe, shaq, and mj (arguable the 3 best since bird/magic) thats like Red coaching russel, wilt, and jerry west...the only player in the new generation i would put in there is Duncan

  • Phil Jackson OWNS red auerbach

    10-9

  • @gfscarface13 Red won 16 rings 9 as coach and 7 as G.M and team president. Red stopped coaching at age 48 how old was Jackson when he won his 9th ring Red was 48.

  • @13war25 red doesn't own anybody now but the Inferior nba of the 60's. It was a Joke, No team was going to beat the celtics with all those hall of famers. it was a joke. celtics haven't repeat since 1969. Figure that people.

  • @gfscarface13 Red sure made the right move getting Larry Bird

    watch?v=pNDYB7saGlM

Red won 5 rings AFTER THE 60's as G.M. and team president. SIXTEEN RINGS TOTAL FOR RED!

  • @13war25 I know that. Still the celtics couldn't repeat since 1969. More teams, more competetation, celtics couldn't repeat.

  • Thank you very much for this.

  • great tribute....

i reccommend the book Let Me Tell You a Story by Red and John Feinstein to any basketball fan out there

  • its a great book, im reading it now!!

  • God bless Red. Wish he was there, when we got #17.

  • He was an amazing coach! We'll never forget him! This championship's for you, Red! Thank you!

  • it would have been awesome to Red light up his cigar in game 6

  • red would have lit the game six cigar with about 10 min to go in the 4th!

  • It's all worth it now. #17 is in the rafters Red.

  • Tragically??? I don't think so. Sadly.

I'm a celtics fan and 89 years is a pretty good innings.

A tragic death was Len Bias.

  • Unfortunately, Red is dead so he is oblivious to the Celtics' current success. There was a great interview though with his daughter during the Golden State victory. The whole family is clearly passionate about the C's.

  • depends on what you beleive

  • Red has to be smiling up in heaven after the deals the Celtics made to get Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett.

  • What would Red think if Boston won number 17?

  • he'd light up a big fat stogie!

  • Watched this video moments before the C's lost out on the lottery on 5/22/06. Thankfully the misery only lasted about one month later.

    Red is smiling these days.
