This is probably one of my favorite Hawks' Western. The song is beautiful and embodies what we would imagine the west to be. Now a days we don't see films like this, just violence and thrills. However, I saw this new film called “Good For Nothing” it was serious satirical film of how the west was romanticized and all the men were either good or bad, subtly funny in a way. Dean Martin and Ricky Nelson were just great in this scene. (Sadly, so many people do not realize what a truly accomplished musician and singer Nelson truly was.). And then there was Walter Brennan, perhaps the greatest character actor in film history.
