  • Opening scene Hold the oring one the edge dummy so you dont blast it over into the pool or ocean

  • I'm guessing Skills Circuit Part 1 is like a refresher circuit of the basic Open Water class?

  • On the second demonstration both the lady and the man's tanks are sitting way to low. Other than that, great demonstration! Way to check the dump valves on the BC check. I had my snagged in my octo recently and was dumping air. Something a lot of people overlook. Good call!

  • @therealwebguy The BCDs are a bit different to conventional ones that fit like backpacks... it looks as if they were meant to hold the tanks the way they are doing.

  • yes fightsharkfishing24 but there are good scuba accident sites on the web too. try the myscubastory site. They have all sorts of dive stories and accident videos there. type myscubasory into google and its the first one. enjoy

  • uh dude you know you're not underwater yet, right?

  • @TheNeonTide Thanks, point is to emphasize the mechanics of the skill, not to talk it through, often we teach people in second languages who learn best be seeing rather than listening. Of course in reality we talk through, but if you can show the steps, it's a lot easier for someone to assimilate, cited: learning theory and psychology.

  • @GoProUtilaDiveCentre you could have added music tho....

  • learn you dive lol divemaste lol

  • IS this for deaf people?

  • dive masters??

well i have seen some wrong dive abbilyties, i think padi isn´t the best way to lear dive skills

  • buddy... you forgot to wetten the strap of the BCD before attaching it to the tank !

  • I learn all this it the same think and thanx for this amazing video...

  • Veryb good vidoeo

  • Thanks for the video's they are very informative. Made my DM skills circuit easier.

    Thanks heaps.

  • @rygedrengen

A DM is not an "assistant instructor". Assistant Instructor is the next step up the professional ladder. A DM is a certified assistant. There's a difference.

  • Nice.

I saw 2 big dangerous mistakes.

    1. NEVER hold your instrument (fini) in your hand, when you give the pressure on it. 200bar ist like a train in full speed - you wont find your hand again.

    2. The yellow weightbelt is dangerous for you, too. he is old and maybe when you open it under water in an emergency situation the threads can get caught in the hook of the buckle.

sor for bad english - see down at sea^^

  • @Cyryiel maybeee but you would FUCK THAT GIRLS ASSSS :O dayumm

  • @Cyryiel

Haven't seen that happen before, but I think people should be taught to secure the SPG hose away from anybody without using hands, just in case.

  • How nice alot of peoble are talking cleaver about these vids, without knowing ANYTHING.

A Divemaster is the first professional step, In the PADI organisation.

A DM is an "assistant instructor" And they are allowed to guide certified divers.

In the Divemaster Couse you learn how to perform and DEMONSTRATE the OW skills. And make them Apear easy.

The DM course is around 6 weeks, but is doable in 2.

On the DM course you learn all you need to become an instructor, wich is about 2 weeks.

  • I see that you should have wet the cylinder band, because it may change stretching in water and get a little loose.

lucky you're in the pool, where little mistakes are within a safety margin.

  • I tend to prefer the valve just a little bit higher. I got short arms.

  • @nowtryitsideways

    BUT in demonstration quality...

  • you have to perform these skills TO STANDARD in the divemaster course. the idea is that if you can't do these simple skills you shouldn't be responsible for someone else's life while in an environment where life support is necessary. also, low mounted tanks are a) a matter of preference and b) easier to demonstrate if they are loose.

also, the instructor here is one of the best instructors i have had in my life.

  • Did anybody notice the missing O-ring on the valve? I think it might be stuck on the 1st stage, which means it is either bad or has moisture on it which is also bad.

  • you are an idiot... it's a white viton o-ring, required for use when using O2 clean tanks, but also used many other times as well (as in when a standard synthetic rubber one are not available)

  • you mine as well learn sign language

  • A) didnt wet cam band B) didnt holp all regs when turned on the air tutut

  • @diverharry you only need to wet cam band when they are new

  • Just wanted to say how good and precise you both were in these demonstrations. Concentrating on the demonstrations without any music or chat...just really good visual clues to what you are doing. Very nice thanks guys.

  • WOW those tanks are low.. How can the diver ever reach the valves alone? I know that it isn't standard procedure that the student can reach it, but why teach it wrongly? I never place them so low...

  • dude I love when she tells him to put his head back to see if the 1st stage would hit his head, it was probably was a foot away. I thought that was pretty much common sense.

  • don't ever use common sense if you wanna go pady - pro ! :D

  • Im Naui but I only use padi charts

  • Additionally:

Just open the valve slowly and don't press the purge button. valve is been kept open all the way. Once a setup is ready, we don't close the valve. for Buddy-Check we use the "Blonde women are really fun" / "Bruce willis rules a film"-approach (Though in German that is a more diving related phrase)

Entrance: During entrance we also close the chest -buckle of the bcd, before entering we we look slightly up

After establishing positive buoyance at the surface, we change to snorkel.

  • so, if you are going to be hours before actually using the gear, you would leave the tank valve open? IMO, you should always close it unless you are going to use it immediately, and when you close it, the reg needs to be purged so that the gauge reads 0 psi again...

  • No O-ring in the valve.

No strap around the valve so when the tank is loss it's still attached to the stab. jack.

    Good luck, Dude.

  • Agree! Poor job done there..

Love the music though. It simply sets the scene :D

  • That tank is too low....

    Good skills though.

  • good but cylinder on woman was far too low band was very close to neck of cylinder

  • good, but this horrible sound... like in a cheap horror movie

  • yes souzajb you right...

I know that now because I start my DM course :))

    thank you

  • Very well done, a nice simple lesson or refresher of basic SCUBA skills. All done non-verbally with good clear hand signs.

  • it's an openwater skills...

  • You're right. But a Dive Master has to demonstrate that skills in a OW class if the instructor need.

  • OMG. If the tank sit a little bit lower it will hit the ground...
