this has just happened to me, fucking so gay. i've pushed the top button and the front button together then held it till the apple sign came up while its also plugged into itunes. then i was given an option to restore the phone to factory settings. annoying lol

I am a noob, and I had the same problem for like the last few days. Well, this actually works on ipod 4g on 4.3.2. All you have to do is download extract and run. Connect your ipod to your computer. there are 3 tabs at the top of the app. choose the center one. And click were it says "set-auto boot true". This, I believe, will fix your brick.

yall can just re jailbreak it as long as its not unlocked!!!! what ever process yall did to jailbreak it do it again... but first put it in DFU mode(if its a 2g) or recovery mode if its a 3g then update with itunes and you will have the original iphone back then re jailbreak it..

this is a hardware fail ERROR 28 take it back to apple were they will replace it ,if under warranty or charge yer for it ...its broken and canot be fixed (if you get ERROR 28 itones should take you to the list of error codes......

and click on the windows logo. Download it and then run it. There will be a "Make it Ra1n" button. Click on it and then plug your ipod touch in. If afterwards the screen is black, run it again and again.
Once you see the picture of the guy on the website, that means it worked and then you just wait for it to reboot!!!!!!!!!

@5superboy ATTENTION EVERYONE: Here's how to solve the ASL.dll problem! Just copy the EXE into C;\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
If you look in that directory, you can see ASL.dll
Just paste the program there and run it. After it finishes, reboot your iPod. I just ran this and it worked perfectly! :D
@mapleguy1029384756 i downloaded it and when i went to run the program a message popped up saying system error then i clicked dont send error report and blackra1n closed.
easy to fix connect your i pod touch to the computer then on the computer find itunes or if u dont have it download it and then open itunes then go to ipod touch setting and then click restore and it will say ur ipod touch or iphone did not finish restoreing and then it will say would u like to restore it or not click yes then its finished this is like the only way u can do it or buy another 1 if this doesent work or if u cant do this easy step ur dum get a life :)
this is so easy to fix connect ur ipod to the computer and then hit start and then click run and find itunes or go to itunes then a message will come up u have to restore ur ipod touch to use it lol it happened to me right now and after like 5 minutes i fixed it hope it helped

if you have 3.1.2 it is teathered (which means when you turn it off, you must re-jailbreak it for it to work), so just charge it whenever you get the chance

dude i had the same exact problem it would not recognize anything at all. it would just be the itunes logo and cord...all i did too fix it was restore my whole computer and download itunes all over again. it worked =] try it.
listen guys i had the same problem and i just fixed it. just put your iphone in dfu mode and restore if it keeps showing you the restore screen just turn it off and then back one :) i hope that helps
first you need a second computer. then download itunes 9 onto that computer. once you install that plug in your phone and restore it. after that go back to your old/main computer with the apps and just make new phone account. but DON'T restore your settings specially if you jailbroken your phone and kept saving everytime you plug it in like me!!. you should have all that apps there and music, etc . I don't know about contacts because I didn't save them on my computer. I hope this works!!!!!!!!!!

your saying that computer isn't detecting your iphone. try this go to start then Run, once your in that screen type "services.msc". then look for Apple Mobile Device and see if it's on auto and started too if can. then reset the computer. this is only for PC not mac because I don't own one plus, don't much about them!!!!!

try using tiny umbrella, it saves shsh, but if u look at the top right hand corner, it says, EXIT RECOVERY(click that)

hey my pod touch stays on the screen where the USB cable and the Itunes logo is, i turned off and on again, i've put it on recovery mode while connected to my computer with itunes open, and itunes says it can sync cuz theres a password on the ipod, i know the password but i can even see the screen to put it, plz HELP!!

ha ha i went to download make it ra1n and it didnt locate my iphone but i like un plugged it then replugged it and i herd this beep noise, shit didnt get located by itunes and it just rrbooted for no reason, now it magicly works YEAY

Go to Blackra1n(.)com
and click on the windows logo. Download it and then run it. There will be a "Make it Ra1n" button. Click on it and then plug your ipod touch in. If afterwards the screen is black, run it again and again.
Once you see the picture of the guy on the website, that means it worked and then you just wait for it to reboot!!!!!!!!!

@patrick1995patrick Yes if your screen turns black after. Note: This it to jailbreak your ipod touch. This also fixes it. if the screen was black, then try it on another computer or keep trying.

WDF do i do? and my ipod touch doesnt have an os because when you restore it, it deletes it..... so idk what to do anymore... oh yeah and when i use itunes it acts like its working by preparing the ipod for restoring but i found out the when i open wm its actually unresponsive. can you please help me. thank you

Thanks a lot for your help: I have a jailbreaked ipod touch and battery run out today, then I connected to itunes and entered in recovery mode, but at the end I couldn't recover nothing because it said it was not able because it as not the right software version or sth like that. When I tried to turn on my ipod I could only get the usb connector pointing to the itunes logo. I was tired to show videos and videos that didnt fixed nothing, bout your solution worked fine.

@5superboy ATTENTION EVERYONE: Here's how to solve the ASL.dll problem! Just copy the EXE into C;\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
If you look in that directory, you can see ASL.dll
Just paste the program there and run it. After it finishes, reboot your iPod. I just ran this and it worked perfectly! :D

easy to fix connect your i pod touch to the computer then on the computer find itunes or if u dont have it download it and then open itunes then go to ipod touch setting and then click restore and it will say ur ipod touch or iphone did not finish restoreing and then it will say would u like to restore it or not click yes then its finished this is like the only way u can do it or buy another 1 if this doesent work or if u cant do this easy step ur dum get a life :)

this is so easy to fix connect ur ipod to the computer and then hit start and then click run and find itunes or go to itunes then a message will come up u have to restore ur ipod touch to use it lol it happened to me right now and after like 5 minutes i fixed it hope it helped

if you have 3.1.2 it is teathered (which means when you turn it off, you must re-jailbreak it for it to work), so just charge it whenever you get the chance

Hello , I tell them because I had the same problem and was desperate, the boot I did. off iPhone do run blackra1n immediately turn ihpone prosegruir with what asked you the (simple) program once finished the installation disconnect iphone turn it on and connected to the pc and hcer run itunes.y them ask some cencillos understand steps and that is all luck...

dude i had the same exact problem it would not recognize anything at all. it would just be the itunes logo and cord...all i did too fix it was restore my whole computer and download itunes all over again. it worked =] try it.

listen guys i had the same problem and i just fixed it. just put your iphone in dfu mode and restore if it keeps showing you the restore screen just turn it off and then back one :) i hope that helps

1)Take sim out and plug in and open i-tunes
2)Then insert sim and plug back in i-tunes and restore to any software version u want by hitting SHIFT, and clicking RESTORE at the same time.

first you need a second computer. then download itunes 9 onto that computer. once you install that plug in your phone and restore it. after that go back to your old/main computer with the apps and just make new phone account. but DON'T restore your settings specially if you jailbroken your phone and kept saving everytime you plug it in like me!!. you should have all that apps there and music, etc . I don't know about contacts because I didn't save them on my computer. I hope this works!!!!!!!!!!

i had the same problem i jailbroke it with black rain and it will take it ff that screen and it will go to the other screen that looks similar to that screen the 1 were u can make emgerncy calls only i dnt know what to do from there

your saying that computer isn't detecting your iphone. try this go to start then Run, once your in that screen type "services.msc". then look for Apple Mobile Device and see if it's on auto and started too if can. then reset the computer. this is only for PC not mac because I don't own one plus, don't much about them!!!!!
