Haha, how was that stupid? Spezza was standing there celebrating in front of Biron by himself. Biron didn't like it so he shoved him twice. And when you drive the end of your stick into someones stomach, its automacially called intent to injure, and you get a 5 min major, and a game misconduct. Biron got 2 mins for roughing. So it looks like the refs did get it right, for once.

Spezza lifted his arms, he wasn't even screening Biron on that shot. Biron should have been tossed for intent to injure, because that was easily an intent.

You are right that a spear is an automatic 5 and a game (however it was incredibly weak). But learn the rest of the rules. you can't just cross-check someone because you don't like what they did.

I don't care if players celebrate, but you don't just stand there and do it right in front of the goalie. And how did Biron intend to injure Spezza? Do you even know what a cross-check is? Biron's stick didn't even touch him, his glove and blocker did. Plus he got a 2 min roughing penalty anyway. If that was Ron Hextall in net Spezza would have been injured.
