All the people here talking shit about other forms of racing here are a DISGRACE. A true race fan will ALWAYS respect other forms of racing. Sure NASCAR turns left.....at 300 KM's in a pack of 43 cars, and restrictor plates...that's easy right? Ya that's why a guy who owned in f1 came over and has only won 2 races in 4 years. NASCAR is much more challenging than you think. The camber and toe angles of the cars have to be as precise as possible to turn as sharp as possible without losing speed or spinning out. You are constantly running 200 mp/h through the entire race, and have to know the exact condition of the gas tank and tires to pit at the most efficient time, and gamble and hope the pace car comes out so you can pit. And constantly, you are two inches from drivers on all sides. I'd like to see you do that.

I don't mind NASCAR (as a matter in fact, there are some races I love to watch, like Talladega (which is 50 miles from where I live)), but I really wish that they would show races like this on American TV. The closest thing we can get to watching this is playing Gran Turismo (great game BTW.) Sometimes, if I'm lucky, I can find rally racing or American Le Mans on Speed TV.

just putting it out there a lot of the cars in Super GT race with v8 engines of course they're japanese v8s from the manufacturers and can rev past 8k no issues...the only car i know for sure aren't v8 is the re amemiya fd with a 20b 3 rotor and the porsches still using the flat 6 or flat 8 engines. oh and the new NSX isnt a real nsx anymore. its a front mounted engine the chasis is called the HSV-010. v10 engine, 500ps body made of dry carbon. HELL YEAH!!! :D

This series has a problem a little. A huge manufacturer enters the GT500 class at enormous expense. Therefore, the manufacturer that can enter the war is very few. Subaru and Mazda..etc are GT300 classes.

It's a shame that team Denso-SARD weren't doing too well in 2008. On the other hand, the Nismo-fleeted teams were unstoppable with their new GT-R, dethroning the NSX and, before that, the SC430.
