  • it has tabs dont it?

  • please fix the palm muted sound... sounds really bad

  • Guitar pro 6 is shit. Crashes all the time, can't switch instruments without making a new track, because you need to make a new track to switch from clean to distortion for example, any earlier file will remain clean the whole time. Going back to the list, slide in/out, hammer on and pull off, or even vibrato sounds horrible and/or does nothing at all. It does palm mute at all, it just says palm mute at the top, all notes are open. Its awful.

  • @SantaWithGuns

The soundbanks and the way to use them have been greatly improved. Have you had a look at our redesigned website for more information on that?

  • I tried the demo. I'm sure I could learn to love it as much as GP5, but I dont think I could love it enough to pay $60.

  • Guitar Pro 6 is a great and fast step backwards.

  • @klashercoo : How do you mean?

To everybody else, you all sound so annoyed and rude, you need to calm down. The Guitar Pro team is working hard to fixing the temporary bugs, and GP6 is now way more stable than GP5 has ever been. What you say about the RSE sounding bad is probably due to the fact that you didn't take the time to actually adjust the sounds.

Or maybe you're using cracked versions, and they are not open to updates, which makes them useless.

  • @romanoskof1972

    1. You can't set Effectpoints during a track

    2. Right Click on the Fretboard doesn't make the curser go forward ( in my case GP6 crashes downimmediately after clicking)

    3. The drum Editor = No words for that.

    4. Hardcore Distortion sound? No way to get that. Open the demo file for Mathcore included in the Programm and you'll hear what the programmers think of distortion.

    5. Can't change numbers of strings after editing a track.

  • I don't have a cracked version. I bought it on the release date and got very disapointed.

Hopefully there are not so many people tabing with GP6 and loading it up to ultimate-guitar.de so I can use my good old GP5.

  • @klashercoo

    Hello,

If you're having trouble with GP6, you should probably refer to our tech support, on our website. There you'll get the help you need, including some indications as to how to properly update your version of GP6.

  • guitarpro 5.0 is the best, but now that they have released guitarpro 5.2 and 6 im never going to be able to download any files that work with 5.0, almost all the tabs on ultimate guitar are now in these formats. WHAT THE HELL AROBAS!!!! WHAT THE FUCK WERE YOU THINKING?!?!?!?!?

  • Comment removed

  • @infectionsman : No need to be rude. v5.2 is merely an update of 5.0, the same program but with its bugs fixed, and you can obtain it from the Guitar Pro website. Version 6 is a new program. Of course v6 opens gp5 files, and can export into gp5 format. I don't understand your problem.

  • can you move the songs you made in guitar pro 5 to guitar pro 6? just wondering :)

  • @theandrewmaguire

Mine crash, I wrote a bunch of songs with GP5 and now I load up GP6 and try to open one, and it just crashes.

I'm extremely disappointed, considering the effects possibilities that GP6 offers.

  • GP 6 is horrible. It crashes more than 5 did, and the RSE sound awful especially for overdriven guitars. This was very disappointing for me because I was hoping for an upgrade and it feels like quite a step backwards. The lack of a mix table was also a terrible idea. I'm sticking with GP5 until an actual upgrade is released.

  • I'll just add here that yes, GP6 sucks. Constant crashes. It got to where it wouldn't display (but was in the list of running processes in Windows Task Manager). I got the latest update and it would run again, but crashes when closing, and on many GP4 and GP5 files. I just uninstalled it, and I'm sticking with GP5.

Keep in mind that GP6 is a complete re-write, so what you're really getting is a GP 1.0, with all the inherent problems that come with a 1.0 version of anything.

  • Guitar PRO 6 totally sucks!! GP5 is much better..much better workflow!!!

  • do you guys have violins recorded in RSE? if yes, how real do those sound? you have any samples?

  • i can´t wait

  • switch pickup¿? wow...!

  • Used GP 6 for two days now. Sucks total ass. Fucking midi files of keyboard pwns the RSE versions. Program and menu are shit. Can't find a mix table or any way to change instrument and so on the same track.

So disappointed. Oh well, back to Gp 5

  • @XGLDF Does it really sucks man??

  • @hiladelphia

In my opinion, and every friend of mine who tried it, yes.

If you want me to explain, I can tell you why I think so.

For example, what the hell were they thinking REMOVING the mix table function?

If I want a melody for example to sweep one pan-step at a time from left ro right, do I **** have to create a new track for each change of step? Or change of instrument? Volume? -.-

And the RSE for heavier songs really isn't that fantastic.

    I'll continue sticking to GP 5 100% :(

  • ooo shit...... Prominy LPC Vsti is better! PROMINY LPC..... FOREVER!!!

  • guys what the hell, power chords and any kind of tremolo picking sounds like complete ASS on gp6. do you not have several samples for one note or something? the RSE is probably great for other stuff like this but its terrible for most metal tracks. not trying to be an asshole or anything but for one of its most talked about features its kinda poo distoriton sounds horrible. i made a tab editor using my own samples, and it sounds way better. hell i even offered you the source code and my services

  • Unlimited Sustain, Realistic Harmonics? I LIKE!

Now If I only had a freaking Debit card...

Sure I can get Anthony down at the guitar shop to order it in for me...

  • Omg please fix the palm muting jsut got the demo and PM's sound like utter shit.

  • the palm muting is still shitty for the people who plays thrash and death metal...i'm not happy!

  • @Firealinvader well consider those types of ... weird sounds .... they arent really what you migh t call music, this is a MUSICAL software, not a "i can maake shit music easily with distortion on" software, so, sorry, but this isnt the prgram you re looking for

  • @GuitarGuyProduction after seeing your nickname and discribing some certain musical genre as "weird sounds" and "shit music"i must have a positive answer for you:go fuck yourself, you don't know shit about guitar pro, music and production!btw you are just a kid!why you use that nick name?you make a bullshit of yourself!PALM MUTE is in this program for a reason,PALM MUTE is the weackness of this program since was first released,i don't mean to be realistic as hell,i mean DECENT!"weird producer"LOL

  • @Firealinvader wow you re lame

  • @GuitarGuyProduction no,lame people play smoke on the water and then try to teach others get it?i bet you won't...

  • @Firealinvader go play your detuned distorted instrument ( sorry, cant really call that a guitar) and stop trying to be a bad-ass on internet...you've already failed in musical taste :, )

but keep on replying if you wish, it's always funny to read a 6 years old comments, do your parents know that you have a youtube account? damn where s our society going towards?

  • @GuitarGuyProduction i said you won't understand my last comment thats why you deleted your videos in your account,i made you do that, you are weak, you don't have self asteem, you fail teaching.don't talk to me as if you were a big deal and know everything, for me you are pointless, you know nothing about me.

  • Comment removed

  • @Firealinvader i agree, palm mutes sound complete and utter shit in guitar pro 6, they completely fucked it up! Guitar pro 5 atleast had working palm mute for all the different rse's, it's fucking impossible for me to get a palm mute that sounds like a palm mute in 6!

  • Man,the drums on this program are just crazy...if you want to put your music and you don't have music knowledge do not download, trust me...the drums do not works with numbers like guitar pro 5...LMAO!

  • will this version finally have a Master Volume?

the lack of that on older version annoys me a lot.

  • Guitar pro 5 rocks but 6 looks Better!

  • what's the song that's played here?

  • @wolf89ki The song is "La Grange" ZZ Top

  • can i have your serial code plz

  • Hello I love GP5!!! I installed GP6 but I cant open gp3 gp4 gp5 files. PLS Help!

  • @erik962010 you didn't install the full version - just the demo. One of the limits of the demo version is that you can't open anything other than the default files.

  • i am not impressed.

  • Can we import GP5 files and have them be played with the new RSE?

  • i edit my musics on gp5, i record the drum and then the bass on gp5, then i play the guitar ;D

  • WHEN IS THE RELEAS???

  • in April

  • I've been hearing April 5th

  • So RSE isn't going to suck anymore?

  • Ability to switch pickup.....wow

  • when will it come out??

  • Really want to see this released! I love this program!!!

  • It sounds a lot like the musics on "Rock n' Roll Racing" from the Mega Drive! (videogame) Anyway, i'm anxious about GP6, i want it! :(

  • when is it out??

  • 1st Q of 2010. At least they estimate that.

  • I hope i can use my own sample(RSE) in GP6

  • wow, sounds a lot better than 5. Can´t wait for the new program

  • I love guitar pro 5, i use it write and learn a lot of songs, i cant wait for GP6! when is it out?

  • Sounds much better! Can I make my own RSE instruments now (I want to use GTR3 for the effects engine)?

  • are you gonna be able to choke the cymbals in this one?

  • yes

  • dude please fix the link of your company's facebook group

  • when is it going to be released?

  • are yo improving the none rse intruments because my pc cant handle rse and could you add snare fade in :P

  • in the mean time, just hit F10 right after your cymbal note and put the volume for the drum track down to 0. Then hit F10 again where you want it to play again and bring the volume back up to where it was before.

  • @izzy55556 Well you were able to do that in previous versions as well ;-)

  • I guess the only good thing is the drums...

Guitars are still as shite as 5.2

  • I have decided to delay releasing anymore GP music till its launched.

  • The RSE for drums on this sounds so much better !

On gp5 it like echoes and sounds awful...

  • holy sh!t, great news!

hope the RSE will be optimised

and the 0o3.dll error will be fixed

  • The sound is great! But, I hope their software guys spent as much time increasing the notation capability of GP6 as they obviously have on sound! Thanks for the vid! -Derek

  • ojala y ya salga sera un muy buen aliviane

    la neta

  • Holy shit... I cant wait!!!!

  • yeah like i am asking the same question as the duder below, when will it be out?

  • Yeah like the guy beneath me, when will it be out ?

  • when will this be out roughly???

  • OMG! I want it!! =D

Well, I'm satisfied with GP5 but.. maaan, looks like the GP6 will be incredible! *-*

  • WHEN THE GUITAR PRO 6 WILL BE LAUCHED ?

  • I simply wish that they would include some RSE sounds like strings, brass or anything. Nothing too major, but better than midi.

  • They said they will... 120 instruments.

  • I can't wait!!!

  • what would be nice is if it was also available as a vst plug-in!! It looks really nice, and i am looking forward to it!! when will it be out?

  • i got the GP 5 and is really good....but this one is goin to be awesome...im lookin forward to it

  • Agora Vai !!!!!!

  • Two questions, if possible...

    1) Infinite sustain sounds good, but will there be an option for guitars to fade like they did in GP5? With the realistic fade-out and the amp fuzz, I mean.

    2) I really liked some GP5 tones. So much that I actually edited my effects pedal to have my two favorites in it - "Hey Jimi - Disto" and "British Vintage - Screamer Overdrive". Do you think it will be possible for me to create something similar to them with the editor in GP6? I fucking adore those tones.

  • Question number 2 was answered on their facebook page (I'd asked the same question). Go there to get your answer.

Also, I'm only kind of liking the tone of the guitar in this preview (it fits the music), but obviously, there will be a lot of settings to choose from.

I'm wondering that about question #1 as well. In some cases, some songs sound better fading out like that (most likely, at the end of a song).

  • incredible...just can't wait for the download *-*

  • I want to know what will be the CPU memory and processor requierements for Guitar Pro 6. I dunno but it sounds like it will take loads of RAM to work properly :s.

  • Guitar Pro 6 is designed to run on a standard PC and runs fine on my five year old computer!! talking about cpu and memory usage is a bit difficult since it depends of the number of track, amp tones and stompbox, etc...

  • Ah. The unholy union of Macdows.

    <<< Running 4gb of DDR3 ;)

  • All the features listed sound pretty sweet, but actually hearing it, I'm not liking the sound of that tone. But then again it is a demo RSE :)

  • Guitar Pro is not a music producing software. It's a music notation and trascription tool. The RSE should be used as a preview of what the song will sound like when recorded in a studio or at least when sampled with real music producing programs like Reason, Protools, Cubase, Cakewalk, Fl Studio, Reaper, using pluggins, VSTi, emulators, etc.

  • I am well aware of what its use is. But compared to what I'm used to with Guitar Pro 5 it sounds a bit different.
