  • corporatism=fascism

  • @d3ltadrive Thanks! I think corporatism is the economic aspect of fascism, no? Fascism entails much more, including the things I mention in the "Early Warning signs" in the video description.

  • Perhaps the US government is spending money on internet access so that all parts of your country has access, not just the areas that are profitable to business? On a seperate note, can't you see the floors in the free market? Big government is dangerous because the people at the top will just serve themselves, many Americans understand this. Big business is dangerous because the people at the top will serve themselves, not many Americans understand this. The cold war blinded some US citizens.

  • @retrospect77 Thanks for viewing & commenting. Rationalize corporatism if you want to (Internet access), but at least acknowledge that it is not capitalism. You say 'free market' but we have no free market in the United States. Yes, we can buy things we want or need but it's not a 'free market' for many reasons. Corporations use government to exploit people often because Congress forces them to. The root of the cause is closer to government than the corporations, who of course play their part.

  • Vladimir Lenin: "If it were necessary to give the briefest possible definition of imperialism, we should have to say that imperialism is the monopoly stage of capitalism."

Where do you think corporatism came from? It did not just appear out of nowhere.

  • @Laoch111 Just replace 'capitalism' for 'corporatism' or 'mercantilism' or in your quote and it works. From where do I think corporatism comes? It comes from human insanity - the egoic mind state as described by Eckhart Tolle. The human species is very dangerous and insane, but that isn't caused by people buying and selling things from each other, it comes from a deeper source. It comes from the 'core delusion' that we are disconnected from each other and that we are only 'form.'

  • Thanks for the information. I was under the misunderstanding that extreme capitalism was at the heart of our problems. I like your list of the early signs of fascism. These are the things I have against the right wing and republicans. I think capitalism is great as long as government doesn't cater to the rich and large corporations SO much that they overtake the good of the working people. I think that capitalism should be combined with a bit of socialism for the good of society as a whole.

  • @supinlick2000 you are welcome supinlink2000 and thank you also for the feedback. We are sold socialism will help us but we are delivered corporatism. This is the clever angle that is used against us. Socialism sounds wonderful and utopian but it is repressive and maintains the status-quo. Fascism requires a partnership between socialism and corporatism. This is what we have now. Remember, the road to hell is paved with good intentions. if good intentions were enough, socialism would work.

  • @kristianweston I think that ANY entity, be it business or government, that becomes very large has a tendency to become corrupt. When large businesses become partnered with large government, we really have a problem.

  • Having bad English? Blame it on the children. Family blame the teachers. No one ever looks at the system.
