  • holy crap 7min song ._. AWESOME meshuggah never fails to please.

  • @EthensGleaton actually this is just 3 excerpts from a 47 minute song

  • This song is beautiful. Truly. I want it at my wedding. Hope my husbands a metalhead. Fuck, it's that kinda shit you can feel in your heart. Maybe I'm just crazy. :) *thoughtful stare into the distance*

  • @ShelborZ This mixed with The Acacia Strain, and Folk/Classical music would be the best wedding ever.

  • Gotta love the correct latin grammar, persona non grata quoque sum.

  • 3:50

"A sound track to my failure. One syllable. One vowel.

    AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

  • 0:45 - 1:16 makes me wet.

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • I was walking down a street...and scaird my friend...And his AAhhrr when a little bit like this...3:57

  • ONE syllable ONE VOWEL, AHHHHHhhhhhhHHHHH

  • messhuga gets me off literally

  • 5:50 - This is EXACTLY how hell sounds like.

  • 3:57 i can't stop hearing it !!! .. my mind is totally blown

  • 3:57 is probably the most crushing riff i've ever heard.

  • is the pause between every track audible in the original cd???

  • uploaded on my bday hell yeah

  • The very start here is kinda like "Closed Eye Visuals"... kinda.

  • I go into uncontrollable headbanging seizure every time i hear the brutal onslaught of this apocalyptic music..and you know what, I like it..

  • jaw dropping stuff

  • The build up into shed could not be any more amazing

  • @Eradicateify

    from*

  • Everyone jizzing over Chester Bennington's 17 second scream should listen to this and see what they have to say about Jens Kidman doing it three times. for more than twenty seconds.

  • @yasminleveau So much fucking groove

  • @yasminleveau don't know what's hard in it, i can do it too. :/ strange

  • @Facepalm66 Do a video dude! Jens aggresiveness is insane, I wanna see you do it!

  • @BenjaminKuruga don't know how to record it properly :/

  • @yasminleveau Listen to Machine gun eddie. lol

  • I like how on the album cover the 3 snakes are simultaneously eating each other.

    PARADOX!

  • the best practice for the approaching singularity is the repeated dissolving and reconstituting of one's personality through psychedelics

  • Listening to pop music: "I can feel the rhythm, yeah!"

Listening to meshuggah: "i can't feel the rhythm, yeah \m/!"

  • @asxetos666 when you get a feel for polyrythms you'll be able to feel both rhythms, yeah!

  • I've been listening to what I like to call "linear music for the masses" for the past hour, then i remembered and switched over to Sum. Those poor people have no idea that these extra dimensions exist!

  • meshuggah covering napalm death?? i think aweswome!!

  • 0:45-1:16 and 3:57-4:42 = ABSOLUTELY ORGASMIC PASSAGES

  • Why is this not our national anthem? please explain

  • @overether Refer to my reply to XTVille

  • @overether The old christian people's heads would explode thats why we don't have it as a national anthem.

  • @froobcakes I'm a Christian. I listen to Pantera, Gojira, Meshuggah, Whitechapel, Suicide Silence, etc. you got something to say to me?

  • @LWRCftw Your list pwned ...then sucked dickz. Pantera, sweet, Gojira, sweet, Meshuggah FUCK YEH white chapel ...meh, Suicide Silence ...who?

  • @LWRCftw He said OLD christian people

  • @Meshuggaaaahhhhh right, like the ignorant, narrow-minded people who call this "devil music"?

  • @LWRCftw there ya go. Did you grow up in a Christian family?

  • @LWRCftw Let's put Christianity behind us. It's like an old, out-dated operating system, an easily dismissed cult. Although I've never read a bible and never been to church thank god...

  • @Meshuggaaaahhhhh sry man but Christianity is absolute truth. I'll be praying for you :)

  • @LWRCftw If that is what you believe then that is what you believe.

The answer to the question of the existance of a god-like entity or entities is personally irrelevant to me.

  • @LWRCftw There have been hundreds of religions.....how do you know you have the right religion? Is every non-christian in the eastern hemisphere going to hell because they have so many different beliefs? personally, I like Buddhism if I had to choose...

  • @Meshuggaaaahhhhh I hope my ass comes back as a fucking 17ft crocodile

  • @LWRCftw you're an obnoxious little prick get off the internet and go learn some hard work

  • @LWRCftw Yeah, you're an idiot.

  • @MattHood thanks.

  • I am partial to avacados and the flesh of salmon.

  • @robert1268 throw some wasabi on that bitch

  • Catch-33 and Lateralus gave me reason to live <3

  • @mee11mee This is what it's all about.

  • wtf, this video was Personae non gratae and Dehumanization, not Sum.

  • @xMeshuggahx Sum came after Dehumanization

  • I like this song but fuck... it sounds 90% like another meshuggah song, I think pravus or something, spiteful snake? not gonna go check but I still like this one, liked the ending

  • they should win a grammy...

  • @00012WW Fuck the grammys. Nobel :D .....in every Category!

  • 5:50

  • @rockeur411 Oh man.

  • @rockeur411 jizzed in my pants.

  • @rockeur411 33 likes, perfect

  • @rockeur411 Indeed this is one of the most epic album closing sections I've come across.

  • This band is seriously fucking incredible.

  • They're just too good...too fucking good.

  • This is the only band I like with death metal vocals. This band is metal perfection.

    IMO

    Catch33>Nothing>Obzen

  • @CoolCoverBro mine : ObZen > Catch 33 > Chaosphere ... all Meshuggah albums are great though.

  • @akudal964 All Meshuggah is great, but I feel like Nothing is just slightly better than obzen, chaosphere is fine where it is. As long as we can agree Meshuggah is great, then there is no problem.

  • @CoolCoverBro yeah, i have to go with that one. I believe, the reason why they are so good is that they haven't changed their style...everyone has his opinion.

  • @CoolCoverBro <3 Peace aquired

  • @akudal964 Don't forget the new album coming out. We always say, DAMN ...This is the heaviest song ever ....EVER .....Clicks another Meshuggah song in the suggestions ....DAMN This is the Heaviest song ever!

    Etc.

  • @supah1337B new album??? :) WooHoo!! That's great!

  • @akudal964 somewhere around November of this year! :D

  • @supah1337B can't wait so long...anyway, thanks!

  • TRAAAAKTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRR~

  • Persona non grata literally means "an unwelcome person"

  • @92451721921892113 is it swedish? assuming that Meshuggah is from sweden lol i'm not poly-linguistic at the least sorry to say lol

  • @metaldemonseanknels nope, latin ;)

  • grraoaaaooo!!hrororrwowowwwwwww!! O.0

  • death by astonishment

  • @Meshuggaaaahhhhh FINISH HIM - FATALITY - FLAWLESS VICTORY - REPLAY

  • How does music get this good? This is the most crystalline, complex metal ever

  • @Meshuggaaaahhhhh Haven't you ever heard Necrophagist?

  • PINAPPLE?

  • I can hardly sit quiet when im listening to this :D:D

while listening to this i get the feeling, that i have to move and destroy something :D

    just fucking awesome :))

  • The truth is Meshuggah are Metal scientists, experimenting with very strange riffs and odd time signatures, creating intense explosions of sound.

  • 2:17 !!!!!!!!!!!!:DDDDDDDDDDDDDD<333333333 OMGOMGOMG

    Yes. I like.

  • I have to die with Meshuggah playing in the background. If I don't, I'll have to reincarnate and start all over again.

  • Greatest metal album ever.

  • My brain OD'd

  • @Dominoes282 I DON'T FUCKING BLAME IT :3

  • 3:57 makes me want to break my own arm and beat myself to death with it

  • .....................................Summed.

  • one vowel....

  • @HorrorMaci AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

  • @supah1337B one syllable

  • @BmGeoBm AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH DUNDUN_DUN_DEEEEENWWEEEEHHH

  • Same notes as ''Bleed'' ?

  • @rockeur411 Nope, this was years before bleed, and IMO I bit of a cooler album.

  • @rockeur411 At what part?

  • DAMNATION! I was terrified that this was going to divide by zero... I missed the like button. I'm sorry!

  • @CyanideSovereign I missed it when the break down hit, but My mousehand jumped over to the start instead, and I listen to the song over :D

  • @dujl I put the wrong time. xD I meant at 1:50

  • @Xavier6972 You meant 1:53 ;)

  • @Xavier6972 You mean this whole damn album!

  • at 1:44 I can not unhear "Squidward" xDD

  • @Xavier6972 I don't hear it at all.

  • #t=5m45s

  • h#t=5m45s sick!!!

  • @matteo what are you talking about.

  • @supah1337B i love the part from 5:45

  • @matteo Oh, I love the whole album! The intro to this video = Epic and intense, The part at 0:46 was Crazy groovy, then the breakdown later on made me think that every horror film ever made should be rated G compared this album.

  • Meshuggah inspires me to be good at math.

  • Very Sick songs!...

  • Thumbs up if you get a mini doppler effect noticeable on the cymbals from headbanging

  • the end part is epic

  • @snusskalle This whole fucking album is EPIC-ER than EPIC. I know you can agree.

  • @supah1337B haha of course I agree :D:D

  • @snusskalle :D I can't wait for the new album, no matter how long it takes!

  • Next album is due put Fall, 2011

  • @ChimpFromSpace guess Ill hibernate till then

  • People rarely agree, but Catch Thirty-Three is easily my favorite Meshuggah album. It takes the chaotic guitar playing to another level, and with drum kit from hell Tomas was able to program stuff that even he can't play. That's really the only drawback is that they won't play these songs live.

  • @KojiraSnake Naw, dude, he could play all of it. Time constraints was the only issue. They have played a bit from Catch 33, at least the massive segment from Mind's Mirrors until Shed.

  • @dujl Hey Dujl! Yeh I hate when some drummers try to use the excuse saying Haake never played I or catch 33 etc. so he has no skill, Time restraints and the fact that he wanted to get the maximum quality and sound from the drums, I love Tomas because he doesn't care for showing off or nothing, Some of the songs like straws pulled at random are arguably simple compared to other albums. Yet the drums with the band sounds epic, so he makes the drums epic when played with the band!

  • there's no second meshuggah in metal world. Israfil will play these songs when the world will begin the collapse.

  • @luckyluckycharm I still kinda havent found a band heavier than Meshuggah, I said that when I heard Choasphere, I said "Wow It can't get more insane than this" ...What happens? Catch 33! I said "It can't get more intense than this" and what happened ...ObZen Came out. and Heavy had already been Obliterated by "Nothing"

  • holy shit this makes me so happy to be from umeå... dang.

  • Thrashmetalman is making thrashers (like myself) look bad.

  • if the world some day goes down...meshuggah would be the right soundtrack.

    enjoy!!!

  • When you listen to Meshuggah, it is necessary that the first songs someone hears is Personae Non Gratae, Dehumanization, and Sum. Sure, Future Breed Machine is good, and so is Bleed, but these three songs are the greatest songs ever. There is no way that another band can make a great lead up and breakdown without repeating the same thing. Meshuggah is not human; they're all Gods among men.

  • @derekd234 Well, not really neccessary. I started with DEI and then worked my way here. I'm not sure that someone who would start at this point would be completely ready for it.

  • @derekd234 dude the song that got me into meshuggah like three years ago was War and then i found bleed and i came.... EVERYWHERE. lol

  • @lavonster93 Bleed is on the bottom of my Fav list by Meshuggah, I mean LISTEN TO THIS!!!! :DDDD

  • @supah1337B yea im probably about to be assaulted by all the meshuggah fans but i just found this album.... sorry guys lol but this is defiinately worth getting my ass kicked for! xD

  • @lavonster93 I still can't wait for the next album. I mean somehow Meshuggah is able to get more Intense, more insane, and more intensly and insanely heavier every album!

  • @supah1337B do you know when their next album is supposed to be coming out?

  • @lavonster93 Only Meshuggah knows. and I care not! For when I comes out, It's definately gonna be so heavy my brains with melt.

  • @supah1337B lol that would be intense!

  • @derekd234 Catch 33 needs to be listened to as a whole. There's no way one can understand it's beauty otherwise.

Secondly, Meshuggah doesn't make songs. They make art. This is one of the most beautiful albums I've ever heard. It's not just music, it's something more.

  • @XTVille It's heavy ...Heavier than Fuck.

  • @BenjaminKuruga Yep, it sure is. Might be a bit naive, but this is pretty much perfect. Fucking amazing.

  • why does it say Meshuggah - Dehumanization under neith the info??

  • Comment removed

  • There is no comparison to the part that starts at 3:55. The band fuses together the single most hardcore sound I have ever heard to this day. There is no other band or song (or song section even) that I can find that hits harder than that part.. It works best with all the build up before it, so I recommend listening to the whole song.

Still If anyone can suggest any songs that are nearly as powerful in sound as this one then please share. I can't find anything this good.

  • @Arturius0 Aspirations by after the burial.

  • The breakdown thing is "Sum" is creepy :O

  • just enjoy the music, these guys are awesome, and have to cope with fandumb idiots like you? c´mon, be smart and enjoy the music instead of arguing like losers

  • Amazing album <3

  • One syllable, one vowel AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • If the people smart enough to listen to Meshuggah are stupid enough to bitch and argue like a bunch of 13 year olds, what does that say about everyone else?

  • these comments remind me of debate classical ignorant one person trying to convince the other is right politics . it is so lame the music that is a point . let the music flow , stop churning out all yur angst . whats the big fucking deal I see your eyes bulging . blood pressure boiling , wooosahhh

  • who gives a shit

  • @woodyman90 is this a response to something, or are meshuggah fans just nihilists?

  • @EndOfTheOuroboros Think it was regarding people whinging about things completely irrelevant to the music. For example: "SLAYER ROOLZZ !!!!!11!!1" and other verbal diarrhoea.

  • @ 5:52 is what will be heard across the globe when the skies turned black with a red glow on the clouds and the apocalypse begins.

  • @hansaru That is utterly sick of you, but i like it! )=)

  • @Chromosome1919 I'm taking that as a compliment lol.

  • @hansaru And the ground tears apart and the heavens charge

  • @hansaru

    We can only hope.

  • The final riff could last for 20 minutes extra and noone would care <3

  • I <3 Metal X3

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • BEST video on YouTube.

  • So "dehumanization" is taken from the middle of this song?

  • @albatrosscafe Yeah, it starts with Personae Non Gratae, goes into Dehumanization and ends with Sum.

  • 5:52 defined meshuggah as my favourite band

  • @666spawnofsatan666 Yes. Orgasm at that very moment.

  • The final part of Sum is the most beautiful thing I've ever heard.

  • Why isn't this the most popular band in the world? This is the only death metal band I like. I used to only like bands like anthrax, heathen, and slayer, but this just opened my mind to the most beautiful music ever. First song I ever heard by them was humiliative.

  • I'm the Experiment. I'm the Creator. I'm the Observer looking at the specimen unable to look back at me... OH SHIT
