  • They really suck, but story is great. Simple idea, great execution. It is work of Richard Mathesson, who is most known by his only novel I, legend. If you are familiar only with movie adaptations with Charlton Heston (titled Omega Man) or Will Smith I strongly suggest you to read the book. It is great book.

  • her face just looks like it wants to be punched

  • lol, the key has no teeth .

  • Love Matheson's stuff, but I prefer this ending over the one in the short story. Seems more horrifying realizing you basically just killed yourself out of greed.

  • )))) smoking kills ((((

  • The Creator of The Twilight Zone has such a Crooked mind so out of this planet its AMAZING!!

  • She is so sweet in St. Elmo's Fire... It's weird seeing her play a bitchy character.

  • oh well fuck it, go party with yr 200 grand!

  • Mto bom...

Pior que eu apertaria se fosse comigo. :(

  • Norma has had that same face the entire time

  • if i had to live with this guy everyday i'd prolly wanna kill someone too

  • Kind of puts a whole new spin on the game show, Deal or No Deal!

  • dang look at all those full ashtrays, she wouldnt have a lung left!!!!

  • the original short story is different and have a completely different morale, in that the woman also pushes the button, the next day her husband dies as he gets pushed down on the train tracks and the woman gets the precise amount of money she had been promised by the stranger, only she receives them as insurance money due to her husbands accident. As she asks the stranger. "why my husband?" the stranger answers. "did you really know him at all?"

  • @MoonPhantom is there an episode for that? cause i remember watching something where that happens

  • @LadyMeilin

Then it was not a twilight episode.. Though it could have been other shows, there is a lot of shows like the twilight zone inspired from it such as. "Outer limits." and "Night gallery." to mention if we move all the way up into the eighties and nineties where there is tons of kid spin offs such as "Goosbumps." "Tales from the crypt" and "The crypt keeper." not to forget that short movies do happen to be an artform in itself made by all early movie makers, so it's entirely possible

  • @ 2:42 ... cum mouth :DD

  • The first time I saw this I was blown away by the actors' performances...I thought Mare's was BRILLIANT, and I've searched for this for months, long after having seen it. I just could NOT remember her name! Brad Davis's performance is ALSO extraordinary, and it's just sad that he's passed already at such a young age. I bet hardly anyone knows that the remake of the movie 'THE BOX' was based on this! SO GLAD I FOUND THIS, by accident...(I didn't even remember that it was a 'TWILIGHT ZONE!)

  • AMG

NO SUCH THING AS DIEING OF AGE N STUFF

    IS THIS MAN SRETIOTWREGBIOETJRTGLFMIORUJKUJIKFGCDVM

  • This ending makes no sense.

    Disappointed.

  • @balckbettystack like the movie.

  • @Bilama I watched the movie a second time and it actually made sense. But this doesn't.

  • @balckbettystack If they press it the previous people who pressed the button will die.

  • @McPfoot Yeah I got that from the movie. This episode of the Twilight Side doesn't show that.

  • @balckbettystack Yes it does... It's just not highlighted in big BRIGHT letters.

  • @McPfoot I'll have to watch it again then.

  • @balckbettystack "Whom you don't know"

  • @McPfoot Watched it again. I must have missed it the first time. Not as obvious as the movie. But I suppose Twilight Zone had to condense the story into 20 minutes.

  • @balckbettystack I dunno, It immediately made sense to me.

  • @balckbettystack

    u dont get it?

  • @YQuiensera The quy said it was qoinq to be "Offered to someone that she doesn't know!" so therefore the next person who pushes the button will kill her, because she killed the last person who killed someone else and so forth!

  • @YQuiensera I get the ending in the movie. Actually I loved the movie ending BUT this Twilight Zone episode makes no real sense.I understand it because Iv'e seen the movie but if I hadn't I wouldn't have gotten this ending.Or did I miss a video? There was only 2 wasn't there?

  • I enjoyed The Box but thought this was crap

  • Now I know where Fringe "The Observer" mannerism comes from!!! YAY!!!

  • the husband comes out alrigt, his rotten wife will be killed and then he will have all the money for himself

  • Thanks for uploading!

  • @TeryoLawVideos wow I came across I video the legendary TeryoLaw has viewed!! I'm honored. bumpmaster

  • @xCypres lol nice to meet u

  • that looks nothing like Cameron Diaz... wow

  • The movie was longer, not better.

  • The movie was so much better.

  • Can someone explain to me?

I mean, there are Millions of i people the next one "doesn't know"

    why will she die?

  • @Geilomeilo2

I THINK THAT EVENTUALLY SHE WILL DIE, WHEN SOMEONE SOONER OR LATER PUSHES THE BUTTON,,

  • @Geilomeilo2 There is a risk that she will eventually die, because someone who doesn't know her will have the chance to push the button, make money, and cause someone to die whom that person doesn't know. It is a small risk. But it still exists and it scares her. And so it should. The whole moral point is how little people care for each other and value money over human life.

If everybody keeps pressing the button and kill someone who they don't know, eventually there will be no people left.

  • @TeryoLawVideos I don't think that's the point of that line, I think what they meant is that the next person who pushes the button will kill the last person who pushes the button.

  • @Brelm That is just a simpler version of what I said. O_o The next person who pushes the button isn't going to kill the last person who pushed it for sure, but it's what could happen. Its not a absolute. That's part of the fear, living and never knowing.

  • @TeryoLawVideos I'm just not entirely sure, the way he said it "I can assure you it will be offered to someone whom you don't know". And really, wouldn't you ALWAYS be at the same amount of risk no matter what? Someone is always is going to have that button, so saying that there's a "small chance" the next person who pushes it MIGHT kill you out of 6 billion other people wouldn't be very threatening, nor would it be a very dramatic twist. The next person to push it will kill the last one.

  • @Brelm If you watch the movie The Box it all get's explained a lot better.

  • I think the stutter might be intentional, like the husband's had it her whole marraige. Another aspect of her crappy life to make her want $200,000 to make it better. You gotta figure if it wasn't in the script the director would have yelled "Cut!", walked over and slapped the guy or something.

  • hahahah someone sucks at brushing their teeth :P

  • THIS BITCH LOOKS LIKE A METH ADDICT!

  • @Phokhotic its supposedly Cameron Diaz...

  • @Gerald45 DAMN! MONEY DOES WONDERS!

  • @Phokhotic lol she got surgery obviously xD

  • @Gerald45 I NEED SOME MONEY TOO,I WANT PLATINUM TEETH!

  • @Phokhotic That is NOT Cameron Diaz; She was in the movie "The Box" that came out in 2009

THIS is a TV episode from the 1980s

  • @TomFromJersey I have just watched The Box twice today.

Fantastic movie and really makes your think about your actions.

  • @TomFromJersey lmao

  • t-t-t-t-t-t-t there's nothing inside

  • these two peaple have anger problems

  • I hate the new ones!!!!! You cant beat the classics

  • I love happy endings!

  • The acting sucks a big dinosaur cock, but the history rulez.

And why the woman just open and close a lot of times? She's high?

  • Your fucked!

  • Adorei essa nova versão de Twilight Zone, mas a antiga é insuperável. :-)

    Aguardo mais vídeos.

  • actually The Twlight Zone episode was based off the book!

  • The movie The Box totally ripped this story off from this old Twilight Movie.

  • in the dumpster, digging for treasure!

  • Th-th-th-th-th-th-th-th-th-th-these Ac-c-c-c-c-c-c-ctors s-s-s-s-suck

  • People...

Atention in last conversation... Is the key about it!

    NO THERE THIRD PART!

  • where is part 3?

  • Dude that's the end,the button will be given to someone else "WHO YOU DON'T KNOW"......dun dunt daaaaa.......you do get the implication, right?

  • what's with her opening and closing it?

  • ...Zat it? There's no part 3?

  • Does there need to be a part 3? .. It was all pretty much wrapped up.

  • Just didn't really seemed to be much to it. But I'm probably just like this 'cause I got back from seeing the movie yesterday

  • there's no part 3. The original episode is just like that

  • wellllll, they'd have more money if she stopped smoking like three packs a day...

  • More like 5 packs.....

  • @glaceauu She smokes way more than 3 packs a day, friend. Trust me.

  • @glaceauu It's probably that reason she would've died soon anyway.....so yeah, no loss there.

  • Its Bianca From Eastenders

  • Deal? or no deal?

  • This would've been a lot better if the chick wasn't an ugly ass chimney.

  • ass-chimney?

  • Actin was crap, but story was good. Does that mean she's gonna die??

  • yes its a bad case of carma!

  • Yes, the person who pushes the button is the next to die when someone else presses the button.

  • wait a second a person dies when you push the button, and the next person push the button you die wow

  • I was thinking, "how appropriate," when she climbed into the dumpster.

  • THE BOX

  • *SPOILER* for people who want to know what happened in the book

at the book her husband dies and she gets the life insurgence money

  • All this whore does is fucking smoke.

  • Why you must be Mr. Lewis, how do you do?

  • Good concept though..

  • Wow. The acting in this is just horrendous.

  • The husband is a Seminoles fan.

  • The stuttering was so over the top. It was just utterly ridiculous.

  • It was stutterly* ridiculous.

  • he even stutters in his sleep 7:04

  • This bitch smokes like a chimney.

  • So someone else pushes the button, she dies, her husband's rid of the shrew and keeps the money.

    Works for me.

  • in the script didn't the husband die?

  • Was it New Twilight Zone or The new "Outer Limits" episode that starred Kevin Nealon as a physicist inventor who created a time tampering device that the government wanted to use as a weapon?

    Can anyone tell me which?

  • she reminds me of my wife, I'm sad to say.

  • Hahaha, I love how Arthur stutters.

  • In the original short story, the husband dies. Reason being that they are so disconnected as a couple, that she 'doesn't really know him'. I prefer this ending though.

  • I agree completely. I LOVE Richard Matheson, but I think this ending is a significant improvement.

  • putyssssssss....isso é fdantastico....onde conseguiu isso???.quando eu vi tinhna uns 10 anos....sempre quis ver de nnovo

  • i dont get the ending can someone explain

  • she will probably be the one to die when it's pushed next, since it's being given to someone who doesn't know her

  • The person who pushes the button is the one who dies when the next person pushes the button...

"some one you don't know dies"...

  • It's a reference to the impersonal political danger our society plays with every day. We don't care how someone we don't know is affected by our actions, taking rights away from group X or money away from group Y as long as it benefits us. It's a simple warning, don't be so foolish to think once you begin to take away one person's rights that it won't one day come back to you. We could learn a lot from this in politics today, but we would rather just push the button.

  • To Crashtest517

a nicely put explanation of the show.

    2 points friend.

  • Ok, I wasn't expecting that to happen at the end, I thought the husband was going to die, coz the 2 of them are so disconnected that they 'don't know each other'

  • well, that is what happens in the original short story by Richard Matheson

I'm not sure which ending I prefer though.

  • ya prolly shouldnt post anything that can spoil for others ass. learn some respect

  • I didn't say what happens at the end though, I said what I thought was going to happen and turned out to be wrong. So I havn't spoilt it.

  • and what if someone was thinking just like you were then see you comment *which was @ the top of the page* with u saying "hey it doesnt happen"...that would be a spolier

  • Ok, you have a point about that, I should have put a spoiler warning. I'll be more careful when I write things like that in future

  • Saw it coming.

  • Maybe he offers the button unit to the person they killed, and while it sends them to hell or heaven, it kills the couple and sends them to hell?

  • Brad Davis is fenomenal in Midnight Express, worthy an Oscar imo. But in this his acting´s really lousy, like a 5th-grader doing a play in school.

  • 2:47

Now that's sexy. Toothpaste dribblin'. Rawr. xD

  • she better spend the money fast

  • Look at the bright side people... when she dies, and we all know she will when someone else pushes that button, he gets all that cash and be set free from her unappreciative ass. He could go to Vegas and spend it on weed and hookers. Hell, he might even have enough money to have that stutter of his fixed.

  • God she looks just like a monkey at 3:18

  • the answer is not to pres it. then there is no chance of you dieing.

  • What makes me laugh is that all 3 actors were well known at one time but in this, it's far below par. And the actor that plays Steward also appears in The Box. The original story is posted on IMDB for anyone that wants to read it. Just go to The Box on that site and someone posted it. Nice story but short and predictable. And in all 3 versions the money is different. In the original, they would receive 50 grand, this, 200,000. and in the new version 1 million. Odd but to each their own.

  • this is so unintentionally funny!

  • I don't think it was all that uintentional. I mean come on, we got a stuttering mechanic, a chain-smokin'n'naggin wife and a tall death figure who looks like someone from One flew over the cuckoos nest.

  • The guy even stutters when he snores lol!!

  • Why the hell does the husband stutter so damn m-m-m-m-much?

  • I never really understood the ending of this ep. I mean really, did she think she would be the only one receiving this box? My only guess is that if that other person presses the button and she will be the stranger that dies?

  • She didn't care, she wanted the money. People do stupid things for money. And yeah, she'll be the next to die since the next person will be someone "she doesn't know"

  • i would be interested in that button's company's motivaton and financial model :->

  • that what i call a "WTF??!!" face lol..i love twilight zone endings.

  • After Rod Serling, Richard Mathison wrote my favorite episodes of Zone. Just brilliant.

  • wow! amazing ending! creepy..

  • really good bad acting

  • The girl is like messed up

the guy does everything to make her happy but she always yells at him

  • needs to beat that ho

  • I haven't seen acting this bad before.

  • really? check out Alien From L.A. starring Kathy Ireland. It'll make this look oscar worthy.

  • That brought back some great memories. Thanks again for posting!

  • Someone whom you don't know.

  • I remember how entertaining this was. the overacting is great!

  • One of my favorite Twilight Zone episodes from the 80s!! Thanks for posting!!
