such aamzing performance....it is a shame that this album is underated....is something so unicque different from any fucking rock metal hardcore band out there....the sound is full of deep love...we need back this band but hopefully doing always something new not just doing what people want to hear from the old cds
This is arguably a hardcore band with a diverse influences or a post hardcore band that was previously a hardcore band. It's not EMO. SDRE is maybe, Dashboard Confessional, the Used.
When I heard Botchla by them, I thought to myself, man these guys really remind me of the Deftones. And here we are, they say one of their biggest influences is that band. I like these guys... a lot. As much as I like Deftones, but I like these bands for different reasons. <3

Poison the Well never gets stale. that's why ppl hate on their newer shit. but they don't want to remake opposite side of december again. what'd be the point of that creatively for the band as humans?
Where is the metal hardcore influence that made Poison The Well one of the best example of the alternative metal scene ? No more breaks with those powerfull drum double-kick riffs ? There's no energy anymore but a true sense of melody...maybe good, maybe wrong...
yea lotta reverb there. i love this band, those that know em know how much they're all into deftones so the chino is there, but ptw's shit is way sicker
Such a bad ass band! The Tropic Rot was a solid record. I really wish they would have toured in support of it longer. Of all the bands out there these guys had to get their gear snaked by some douche bag. Its not fair....
I've loved EVERY song that PTW has put out up untill whatever their last one was letters ? or something whatever ... I've been disappointed a few times :(
So this song is supposed to stop abruptly then. I thought my copy of the album was fucked up and skipped to a different part of the song. Love this song though. Love the whole album... love every Poison the Well album.
ALSO. The vocals in this mix are WAY to prominent. It's like a pop master, someone mixed this so badly. The epic guitars should be louder then the vox.
This is one of the few bands out there really making creative moves in the heavy rock scene. I have been a fan for a long time, but when I heard Versions for the first time, I was absolutely blown away. Landmark album without a doubt. Tropic Rot takes it to the next level. This is among my favorite on the album........thanks for the post!!

Definitely not one of your average poser run-of-the-mill emo bands. Bands like this make EMO a valid genre. Reminds me of Sunny Day Real Estate.
