  • It's rare to see the Electrical Water Pageant floats in front of a fireworks display

  • Most people fill the beaches around the lagoon. That's where you will see the fireworks the best. Don't expect to see too much of it from the pool because it's so incredibly crowded throughout the resort for this popular event.

  • Wow! What a great view for those fireworks! We are going to WDW for the 4th of July next year and I think we'll watch from The Poly! Do some people watch from the pool or mostly from the beach?

  • Thanks for the post...good memories. We watch this every year from the beach at the Polynesian, and have for the past 9 years of family vacations. I gotta say though to the folks that don't like the show, the video, or Disney prices...it's okay. Watch and enjoy other shows. Some of us just love Disney for Disney and the way they do things.

  • Dear Disney... your 4th of July show IS A JOKE. Small towns spend more money on their 4th of July show than your multi-billion dollar machine. Choreography and a castle that changes colors is not worth the ~$100 admission ticket. What a disappointment. To the video author... well done video! :-)

  • @UFGatorGuy20 Actually your wrong. The average small town show runs about $3,600 in product. While a small city of 70,000 runs about $13,000 in product. Disney shoots 683 shells alone just for "wishes" and a total of 2,800 for illuminations every night. you so called multi billion dollar machines profit in the quarter through March 28 was $613 million. They are still the largest single user of fireworks in the world. If you want a big show goto "Thunder" Disney does a great job. Nice video.

  • @DecaturPirotechnics I exaggerated. Small towns DON'T spend more money than Disney. But, how many small towns set aside $ solely for fireworks? I'm willing to bet some percentage of Disney's commission is dedicated to fireworks. That's a big part of their spectacle. 683 shells for wishes. I bet max caliber is 8". Most are probably 3s, 4s, and 5s. Many mines and comets. The cost of 683 shells (maybe $30k?) on a nightly basis is significant. But, their 4th of July show is terrible.

  • @DecaturPirotechnics Also... my comments are directed at the pyrotechnicians. I'm sure they're doing all they can with their operating budget and safety constraints. Upper management needs to step it up. Compare this show to Altamonte Springs Red, Hot, and Boom 4th of July show. Altamonte Springs had a population of 41,200 at the 2000 census... it destroys Disney's "show."

  • @UFGatorGuy20 Disney had way more than 41,000 Guests view their show though, 4th of juy they hit capacity at MK and have people at the resorts watch, easily over 100,000 just at MK, then you have EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, EPCOT has a bigger show, MK has always been about presentation, nothing beats 360 perimeter fireworks, they rock. All together there were over 500,000 Guests on Disney property for the 4th of July and they spend about $1.5 billion a year on fireworks.

  • @PLeyava You guys are missing my point. I recognize Disney spends a ridiculous amount of $ / yr on fireworks. Their nightly show "Wishes" is very nice. But, in my opinion, their 4th of July show is marginally better than their nightly "Wishes" show. US companies (including Disney) need to do some research on European and Asian shows to really see what a mind blowing show for 100,000+ people entails.

  • @UFGatorGuy20 Okay okay, I get ya, but saying it's hardly better than Wishes I do not agree with, this show is much bigger and has wy more fireworks, I work at MK and I know from the fireworks guys there that this show is much bigger, and it's a shame for video recording because the show is way better in real life. But my point is, MK is not ment to have a big bang like show, they have always been about presentation and story telling, EPCOT has the big bang stuff.

  • @UFGatorGuy20 You must be blind

  • i saw it last year

  • Now THAT is a fireworks show !
