  • sounds beautiful man. one question though, i have the same camera as you now, how to get such a good framerate? my seems to stutter alot. and it seems to strugle to keep up with me.

  • @twittheshred This was my old Sony Cyber- Shot camera in movie mode. Pretty grainy. I use a Sony Webbie and Microsoft web cam now. Thanks!

  • @Sawlon Sorry it was the microsoft lifecam cinema that i was asking about.

  • @twittheshred Mine does that too if the lighting is too dark. It works best during the day for me when I get extra light.

  • Wow, - nice melody. That guitar sounds great.

  • @Hockeycoho Thanks!

  • A great tune, played to perfection.

  • @southtipp Thanks!

  • A great tune, played to perfection.

  • can anyone suggest me a place to find the sheet music for this song?

  • Dave, I keep catching up with videos of your I haven't seen before. What amp are you using with your silent guitar?

This is a great tune, well played.

  • This one I'm playing through a Peavey Escort PA.

    Thanks Don,

    Dave

  • Splendid melody! And very good playing! Thank you.

  • Thanks!

  • hey could you put up tabs or something for this song... it`s amazing and I`d love to learn it

  • sweet tune

  • Thanks!

  • That's quite a nice arrangement. I've not given much to traditional Irish folk music... I believe I may have had my interest kindled by this piece. Care to post the tab for all us dreamers.... I mean learners.

  • that would sound great from the bottom of the well in my basement. You could probably come up with all kinds of cool tunes if you spent some time down in the hole as I call it. good stuff as always. It puts the lotion on its skin

  • That hole must have great acoustics!

    Buffalo Bill! lol

  • you are really cool.. i almost watch your all vids :)

    great work... really great..

  • Thank You...

  • It should be called "Sawlon's Shamrocks"...beautiful lilting song played masterfully. If the Gaelic language could

be spoken via guitar, it would sound like this.

    Masterful and Soothing!

    Encore!

  • Beautiful.

  • i want a tab of it hehehe, he plays good, Ü

  • that me just notised that there is no body to the guitar.

i thought it was black but thats just the plasma lol

  • It does look black! LOL

  • beautiful .. i like the string bend

  • Reminds me of a game i had, it's great

I don't know why, it has a blue essence, i know it' sounds weird but it's a strange sensasio...

  • Beautiful guitar playing, love the sensitive bent tones. Keep it up!

  • Fantastic interpretation of this song. Would it be possible for you to do a lesson on it?

  • No kidding...when I hear you play that song it makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck. Must be the same Irish gene's that caused my Mother and daughter to have red hair. Even though Mom's grandmother was Cherokee. I instantly liked this song when I first heard it. Is this a old song ?

  • very very nice is this open tuning

  • brilliant

  • Your arrangement is beautiful, Sawlon. I can feel the sea breeze and hear the waves crashing against the shore. Excellent!

  • cool guitar

  • great cover!

  • Very nice ! It is possible to have a tab please ? ***** J.C.

  • Mi english is bad so: Magnifico, excelente, hermoso

  • your playing has got so much soul. love it and your guitar lessons are done with so much respect and humility. good luck to you.

what is the make and model of your guitar?

    many thanks

  • Dave,

Greetings from Toronto. I'm a little older than you, but only playing guitar for the past 3 years. It was a revelation for me to discover your YouTube lessons. They're excellent I love 'em. But as the song says: Your lovin' gives me a thrill, but your lovin' don't pay my bills... So. I like your version of Paddy's Green Shamrock Shore so much I'd be glad to pay you for a tab of it. Think we could work something out?

Thanks again for all the freebies.

    Cheers,

    John F.

  • You are an inspiration to me! :) i've been playing guitar for around 6 years, just basic rock stuff really and some acoustic songs. I've been looking out for people who are playing beyond just strummy chords hoping i can pick up a tip or two. I have to say this is a beautiful composition... :) nice!

  • Nice, and i like your shoes

  • So special to all Irish immigrants, thanks Dave!

  • For some reason my comment on this song appeared under the comments for another song. I love both of them. In fact, I love all of them. It's got that Irish feel--very Northern-like.

Wish I could play guitar half as well out on a porch in a cabin by the moutains alone ahahaha. Five stars again man!

  • Fantastic, is there a tab of that anywhere.

    and is DADGAD?

  • This song has a special meaning to me, for at the age of 15 years, 4 months, and 5 days I myself caught the Ferry from Dublin and crossed the Irish sea...

(The lyrics are from the "Horslips" version of the song.

    Sláinte Mhaith (Good Health!)

  • "In early spring, when small birds sing, and lambkins sport and play

My way I took, my friends forsook, and came to Dublin Bay

I entered as a passenger, and to England I sailed o'er

I bade farewell to all my friends, and I left the Shamrock shore...

  • Jolly nice! :)

  • Hi Dave,

I'm so happy you posted this one on youtube! I am honored to have been able to play with you and Sandhill Session that one time this spring. Your version of this song will always be my favorite!

    -Alison

  • well I'll be another fantastic song by the maestro Sawlon! Great stuff! Hope all is well

  • I've listened to this maybe 6 times and I'm still not tired of it. If you got any other Irish tunes let me know!

  • Amazing cover. I love how you intertwined your own style in with it. I absolutely love this song. Great job. Do you think you could send me a link or copy of your tab? That would be awsome. Keep up the great work.

  • Needs more cowbell.

    (P.S. this is Travis)

  • Thats a good one!

  • No problem, you wouldn't by any chance happen to have the tabs for this song would you?

  • Great job man, this is a really good song let alone you played it well.

  • Thanks for checking out the video and the nice comment.
