it's not anti-bacterial. it's anti-fungal. it's great for dandruff, because it's basically fungus that causes dandruff

I have used tea tree oil for years and it's great, but when you say "that tea tree oil smells so good" I have ask what brand you are using, cause tea tree oil smells awful from my experience! I was glad to hear that you can use this for psoraisis (from another video) because I might try that for my daughter. As far as it being toxic, it can be in large doses, but I have gargled with it to treat strep throat, with TONS of success and no need for antibiotics, so it's pretty safe.

Lots of years ago I had dandruff problems it has gone away with time but , the thing is to make your scalp get use to being dryed naturaly after washing the hair and also scratching the scalp alot while your washing it .

Thanks for the tips. I actually used RAW BROWN SUGAR. It was not too rough on the scapl and worked really well. My hair smelled wonderful. I loved it cause I just took out my braids and my scalp really needed to be cleaned.

I tried this today and it really worked good on my scalp. I had suffered with itchy scalp for along time and couldn't understand why the itch even after shampooing. I feel very clean and the scalp is soo clean. Thanks alot gal.

Tip for men, tea tree oil has a local estrogenic effect. For instance it will make your breasts grow if you put in on your chest, but conversely on your head the estrogenic effect could make your hair thicken and might even regrow some. And no using it on your head won't effect you anywhere else.

@allakayefranxoxo i actually found tea tree oil @ walmart of all places it was in the pharmacy section it cost $8 dollars an i use it for everything try to google it or check out whole foods or go online puritain's pride website is good to good luck

you should not be using it for mouth wash this stuff is very toxic, and if you have any pets and have it on your hands don't touch your pets, very toxic if their small, for a bird it takes one lick, and hes a goner!!

@bec55ky That makes no sense since most health food stores sell tooth past with tea tree oil as the main ingredient. Tea tree oil is powerful, but not toxic unless you swallow a whole cupful of it. Too much of anything can become "toxic". Example: Vitamin C, Biotin, Ice Cream, French Fries, etc. Everything in moderation.

I love your videos. I mentioned you in my pin curl vid. I use Parnevu Tea Tree scalp oil. However, I noticed that tea tree oil is actually one of the last ingredients listed on the bottle. So i dont think the oil is really giving me the benefits that I want. What is the name of the teatree oil you're using and where did you get it? I'm in NC, and for some reason i have been having the hardest time finding "natural" products to use for my hair; even at my local beauty supply stores.

i put the tea tree oil into my shampoo. then i use extra virgin organic coconut oil and or olive oil for super moisture & conditioning. i also use the coconut oil to flatiron hair. great results

I've been researching tea tree oil among other natural products for my hair. My question though is how are you styling your hair after these processes? In one of your earlier vids you said you only use heat once a month (and that's at the saong) but your hair looks really straight in most of your videos. So I was just wondering what your "normal" routine is when you wash/condition at home. Thanks for sharing!

I usually tie my hair back in a pony with a roller on my ends, then wrap with a scarf and allow it to air dry. I try to do rollersets, but I am really bad at it, this works better for me. HTH

Tea Tree oil is amazing...lol my friends and i say it cures anything...even a broken heart lol..jk.... you can apply it in your mouth if you have a sore...but i wouldn't suggest drinking it. Um...but you have to have the right type...

Thanks so much! You could use the oils that you have or leave it out all together if you like. I chose to use tea tree oil b/c it is know for its antiseptic properties and treating dandruff...It really cleans the scalp well. You can find tea tree oil at you local health food store. HTH:)
