Might be an idea to try and mount a marble or cheap glass crystal on a weak spring in between the laser and the spinning glass, and figure out a way to make it wobble randomly to add some random shapes and patterns too.

First of all, this is the worst tutorial I think I've seen having anything to do with lasers. Giving a retard a laser is tantamount to giving a child scissors to run with. BUT, if you think you should worry, DONT FUCKING BUILD IT! Or, just use it to project over a larger area... now, you wanna do something even more cool? Try shaping the glass, and etching odd grooves into it.
