Built the new SF compound in 2005-6, we slept in the basement of the old Soviet airfield tower, captured Taliban were kept locked in the room next to ours. We used to give the ANA soldiers guarding them Playboys. Hopefully, they learned something!

im am in the army infantry, iv been oversea 2 times and im 20 years old and i would go back 10 more time if it meant to save and help protect, iv lose buddys over there. but you get the call to go and have to go, we all just ask is for support

not sure how guard beats active in anyway but worked with some guards in Jbad for a bit cool cats but took awhile for them (not talking about 102nd inf) to learn how to patrols decently or how to handle crowds of locals ... had shiny equipment tho..

All boot camp is the same, except if you go to an all male one, its a little tougher there. Basic is not hard at all, i don't know anything about the infantry, i am a mechanic

The guys I know tell me that Army Infantry OSUT is the hardest. 30% washout. It's 4 months, and its focused on combat training. It is tough, but it's also very "fun" because its infantry training. That's what they said anyways.
