Allmenus on cheat tutorial (sims 2)

For ALL windows it works. You have to do these steps in ALL STUFF PACKS AND EXPANSION packs ALL OF THEM. I had this problem now it works :) Hope I helped!

Ok for those of you who have Windows 7, I figured out what you can do. Follow all these steps but when you go to save, save it onto your desktop. Then take the globalProps file that is in the folder and drag it into the recycling bin or into a folder if you don't want to delete it. Then drag the globalprops file you have on your desktop into that folder, replacing it and then your done.

Umm, okay, so I tried to follow this as best I could, but my computer doesn't have the "turn user account control on or off" option thingy in the User Accounts. So I couldn't do those couple of steps, but I followed all the others and I still can't get the 'allmenus on' to work. everything works and wen i open global props after i saved and closed note pad it says so and so testingCheatsEnabled so and so <true> bla bla bla but when i open my game i just have origanal options i even tried 'ctrl shift c' to open the cheats box and 'allmenus on' *in the naborhood :p* but im still limited on options and my global props say that allmenus is actvated when i open it up *after i saved* plz help

I was able to correctly follow the steps up to where I needed to save the changes BUT it won't save it as xml. Notepad wants to convert it to txt. or rtf. Sooo am I supposed to allow the change or should it always be xml?

I had already activiated allmenus on without any trouble, but that was when the latest ep was freetime, then i bought apartment life and it stopped working.

i've reopened globalProps in the apartment life section to make sure the code is there and it is. i've also taken the code out of the freetime section. i've taken the code out of the AL globalProps, loaded the game, exited and then repasted it but it still isn't working. any idea what i should do?

@ILovesucksI I suggest, going on notepad and title it, the same thing GlobalProps or something, (I uninstalled Sims 2 so I don't remember) then place it in the file where Global props is because that's how I did mine. Don't forget to press (Yes to replace)

As said in a previous comment, I couldn't get the file to save on Windows 7. I solved this by changing your computer security to allow any and all changes made to your computer without notification. After i did that, it worked fine.

Does it work on mac? It's so stupid, cuz I figured out how to get to where everyone said to go (like, hard drive/Sims2/EPs/Pets/Res/Confi­g/) and when I open the GlobalProps thing, a game comes up! @Sims2TeenDrama In the same place, it will say something else, along similar lines. Click that and drag the slider down to the bottom, the rest is the same as the vid. Hope this helps, I'm on windows 7 too.

yes i think you would for the cheat would not respond properly. luckily you only need to edit the globalwhatever thing for the most recent (recently made like freetime) ep you have. ^^

I have The Sims 2 Deluxe and I don't have any expansion packs, so I go to My computer > Program Files > EA GAMES > The Sims 2 Deluxe > EP2 and I do everything else that leads to globalProps.xml.

Is that the right way to do it? Will it still work?

Question 2 -

When I try and save the globalProps.xml file, the file extension changes to .txt. Will that still work?

you need to type the cheat in with small letters, y'know "allmenus on"

This doesn't have to do with your question,but make sure to always turn off Boolprop when your done.If Not,it messes up your game.[Happend to Me]..

I never do and my game is still running fine.

One thing I do suggest though, is that if you age your sims from child to a teen or adult, dont think about trying to go back to a child. heh. Doesnt work, You get a blue face.

i figured it out. go to the user name in the start menu click documents, Ea Games, then GlobalProp, then open it up in notebook, and copy and paste, save it, then your finished! Hope this helped.

WAHHOOOOO! mine is now working thank you!! guys if those of you who say it says error when typing the cheat in allmenus on you need to first load the game up go on to the neighbroughood and then type the boolprop cheat THEN put the allmenus on cheat :D and it worksss :D coz at first mine said error all the time then i did that and it worked :)
