Hi, may I ask how did your connect the Zi8 and the SM57? Thanks very much!

@smellofstrings SM57 is hooked to my Mackie 802 mixer, which goes to my computer running linux. I used Ardour with some VST plugins to create the sound. Zi8 is only used for the video, not audio.
