have you ever tried to spiralize acorn squash and beets? I just ordered this one, and i wanted to see if this machine spiralized really really tough veggies.

@sweetlikecandy21 : I've spiralized jicama (for a yummy pad thai noodle) and it worked great. I think jicama is just as hard or harder than beets and acorn squash. The only thing I did differently is start turning it by hand so that it got a good start on the blade before I started to turn it with the plastic handle.
