Mr commentator, you must say what you think the players are going to do. Make judgements on what builds they will go for, which expansions they will try to get etc.

Terrible is too harsh and mean. In my opinion, it is most important to predict what will actually happen instead of just saying what is happening at that very moment. I agree with iattackenemy about saying UH to much, yet it is understandable that you are thinking about what to say next so you say "uh" like how people say "like" too much. Try to sound more lively and interested also! Think about commentators of hockey and basketball and how they talk, just don't go overboard. Good luck :D.

@bwochinski dont forget the most important detail, which is to predict what might happen next. People listen to commentators because they want a proffesional perspective of the match. That is the key to a good commentary.

@bwochinski try to give less play by play and more of your insight. we can all see what he's doing, but what WILL he do? for instance, idra went late pool into double gas all at once. you didn't even acknowledge that uncommon order much less try to think about what it could mean. popular commentators tend to A) speak charismatically and clearly B) gauge build order's potential C) try to form a kind of plot line within each game.
