In opinion, it depends.  If you get a PC laptop, this will probably be better. If you get an imac notebook/lap top, then the laptop pretty much does everything this does plus more.

While I'm no fan of apple, people that don't see the use in this are the same visionless people hauling around heavy large laptops filled with hardware and components they rarely need or use. For those of us with a high end desktop at home - we dont' want another computer. We want something slim, portable, and light with a large enough screen to be useful for work/school/light entertainment when on the go.
