  • Really smooth bass!!

  • @athorpe630 i agree he is out of sight im 21 i love it

  • Ellis, is my choice for this group. A more mature voice and he can sing!

  • That's Ellis Johnson singing the lead. His father Thomas on standing next to him. In the back is Gospel Joe Williams and Lonnie Smith, father of the jazz great. They have all gone on to glory. I know my information is correct because Ellis was my dad. Thank you sharing them with the world.

  • Ellis Johnson is such a great bass singer! Very resonant and booming bass voice!

  • wonderful

  • I really miss them all. I saw them all in person in the late 70's/early 80s. I heard them do "Only Believe." I was not even a teenager yet.

  • They're all gone now

  • Is Ellis still alive? I use to think he was deeper than Jimmy Jones. Maybe not quite as melodic or sweet as we use to say., but very effective. He would drop the house in Boston when he hit the bottom. I believe he blew one of the pa speakers, he went so low!

  • They

  • From an old tv show from the 60's.

  • where you get these from?? those my boys!

  • I know that's right,Yawotton, and they're my all-time favorite singing group also. I love to hear Ellis Johnson sing this song and the name of this tv show is TV Gospel Time,in which many black gospel artists appeared back in the 1960s.
