@TheMightyTeabag you should definitely do Music GCSE! I'm about grade 5ish piano, and managed to get A* in my recordings and compositions, you can do it easily! And also, you'll find the exam easy because of the aural you have to do in abrsm :)

I really like it! Im in y9 and grade 8 piano and grade 7 violin and about to choose my options. Is it worth choosing music when i already have abrsm certificates for my grades?

@TheMightyTeabag Definitely, if you're as good as you say you are it sounds like it might be worth considering a career in music, and there's no better place to start than with GCSE music :) Even if you don't want a career in music you may as well take a subject you enjoy and are good at and will get a good grade for

This is so amazing, literally fricking awesome. I am really into listening to piano music atm so I'm listening to composers like Einuadi or Yiruma and this is one of the things I listen to reguarly aswell, just as good as them! :') Seriously brilliant! I am doing my music gcse at the moment, do you have any tips for composing? I'm finding it quite hard.

@eloisehonor Wow thank you! :) I'd suggest for composing start off with something really basic, like a chord structure, improvise the melody in the right hand and see what sounds good :) I sometimes record myself when i'm improvising cause if I come up with anything good I usually just forget it :P

@boomboomgoat Ermm I've got an electric piano (clearly..) and I put this up 3 semitones from it's original key (so from C to Eb). I do that with practically everything I play cause I think it sounds nicer :)

Did you write this score by hand or did you plug your piano into some software and have it processed while playing?

@markusboyd3 unfortunately, initially i used Sibelius to write this up, so because it SUCKS I had to write it by hand. But on this recording, I just plugged the piano into audacity to record the raw recording :)

@sirshitsalot007 GCSE is for ages 13-16 ish. and I didn't really want to add dissonance because I didn't want to make it..'tense'? I can't really explain it, I just didn't think it would sound right with the overall feel of the piece.
