The level is truly terrifying.

So much, that Cyst, normally a ridiculously creepy boss, becomes a breath of fresh air by comparison.

It's probably because of the rather upbeat boss theme playing instead of the nightmare inducing ambiet tune of the rest of the level.

really creepy, inovative, and just down right awesome....that pretty much sums up the R-type series really

Si es verdad.....en sima en los niveles anteriores estabas con la mejor musica TECHNO y ROCK ....y tambien estabas con esa musica que te metia un poco de presion...y de repente....este nivel!

Completamente oscuro y con esa musica que te da escalofrios!

Yeah, this game is beautiful for a PS1 game. Looks awesome for a game thats almost a decade old. IREM did their homework on the PS1 engine. It shows.

Wow! Three bosses at one time?! too bad R-Type final didn't have a boss parade relative to Gradius style like this one (though there was that one part in stage 4 against the boss monster who just keeps comming back from each of the R-Type games, her/it's heart comes out (I say it's a her because of the fact that it keeps spawning babies, and it's not a seahorse. People, ignore me if I sound stupid)

anyway, nice fighting! Too bad I don't have this one yet.

this game is great except the ship balance kind of sucks, the r-13 is to powerful, while the rx is underpowered. I'd like to see someone get through delta with the RX.

well of course there are gonna be over powered ships...thats your reward for getting that far in the game...like in R type Final, the last ship, when using the beam fully powered, is a one hit kill to any boss

Hell The Strike Bomber isn't one of the last ships but its wave Cannon is a 2 loop one and its a 1shot kill vs ANYTHING

omg this stage looks extremley hard, doesn't compare 2 the very easy Super R-Type. i knew beforehand the boss would somehow involve a new version of Gomander due 2 the stage resembling stage 2 of original R-Type.
