  • Great explaination of what Biblical love.

  • This is a true man of God teaching the gospel as it is written!!! I thankfully praise God for this man of God!!! I've watched two of his series and it is so obvious that we have been seriously brainwashed by our culture :-S. Voddie is helping me to see God's word with fresh HONEST eyes! GLORY!

  • You dehumanise us all

  • Old men lust after young women for the same reason young men lust after young women. I don't believe they are looking for daughter substitutes.

  • Very good. I needed very much to hear this today.

  • Do not boil me down to a being that "yearns for male attention." God did not create me to yearn after men. You do not know me. You don't know who I love, how much I love or why I love. I wasn't born into this world to give all my attention to my father or to some other male. I was born into this world to carry out my life by showing love to others and to God. I am NOT a programmed thing without a brain. And who are YOU to say who I can love? You do not have the right to "teach" me how to love.

  • @Polkadot2480

he is teaching what God wants

but where did he say you should give all attention to your father?

    he didn´t

    hope that helped you

    greetings

    Mikel

  • @FallaciesDetective No,but he IS saying that a girl should be raised to love her father and then be passed off to another man. Again,I am not programmed to do that.I want to live my own life without any males in the immediate future. Mikel, please think about questioning what you have been taught as "truth." Look at your experiences in life to see what God wants. The loving God I know wants me to live my own life and find my own path uninhibited by someone else AKA a controlling husband/boyfirend

  • @Polkadot2480

    Dear Polkadot,

I think that is what Voddie means:

Voddie preaches that a man shoud be a protector and providor and a (good) priest to his family - leading with love, not terrorizing and controlling in a bad and evil way- the husband should love his wife like his own life, is what Jesus said- God defined headship ONLY connected with responsibility and genuine love - anything else would in fact be abusing the role of a true "captain" ;)

    God bless you, dear

  • @FallaciesDetective I see your argument, but why can't BOTH partners in a marriage relationship work together equally? I too grew up being told that the husband is supposed to be the "head of the household" but that automatically puts women into a role below men. I just believe that men and women are equal in ALL ways and no one should have limits or expectations on them simply because of their gender. If a husband prefers to stay at home with the kids and the wife wants to work, go for it.

  • @Polkadot2480

    Dear Polkadot,

I think the question why is a good question.

First of all I believe, that God had a reason for creating Eve with Adam as the head.

She belongs to the man, he loves her as his own flesh and she helps him to conquer the world ;)

See: there can be only one captain on a ship, for only one person can have the final responsibility

and the final say.Or could we imagine a ship with too captains - one says left, the other says right...

some people have a calling to be alone

  • @Polkadot2480 In the words of Voddie, "if we were made equal in every way, one of us would be unnecessary.

  • @Polkadot2480 Be careful living my own life thats what satan loves to hear thats what he deceived eve with when he said did God really say? Dont doubt God he created you with a great purpose and that is to be a help meet. Men are to provide not that women cant work but your greater calling is a wife and mother. Headship is for the husband but its not to abuse degrade or walk all over you but to protect the treasure you are.

  • @Polkadot2480 A father is to show a daughter manhood in that it is loving kind strong true and pure and that he wouldnt let any man be your husband he is to give you to a man who is worthy of a treasure called woman. prov 31:10. a Womans worth is far above rubies. a man is to treasure you not trash you. yes men and women are equal creation but with certains roles to play. its like a play you get to play the one who is redeemed(bride) while we play the one who gets killed(Christ, groom)

  • @Polkadot2480 please don't fall into the trap of associating the wicked display of how men and women have related historically as how God himself purposes it. that men have usurped God's directive and became tyrannts and oppressors doesn't negate what God meant for them as faithful leaders in their homes. to be as Christ himself demonstrated. i am confident that if any woman were to be given in marriage to Jesus, would have no trouble submitting to him in every respect.

  • @Polkadot2480 when this is understood, then it will be understood why the command remains for women to be the same to whoever their husband may be. but at the same time, for men, the expectation of them, is to live accordingly as Christ himself the Husband of the Church has given us the example by which we are to follow him. which calling do you think is easier? to be the wife, who sets the example of how the church is to be before the Lord, or for the husband to exemplify Christ in that example

  • @Polkadot2480 and if you understand the challenge put upon such a husband, it would be only one's compassion to then always be in prayer for that husband that the Lord would guide him and keep him in that calling that is set before him. and at the same time, a husband, knowing the difficulties that face the church everyday, would be mindful to be in prayer for his wife with the same concerns; what is more, that each would pray that they would learn patience and forgiveness, as they are most

  • @Polkadot2480 as they are most certainly going to struggle, and often even stumble to walk after the perfect example set before them. but by the grace and mercy of the Lord, they will find years to have passed where they can honestly say, that they thank the Lord for all the years he has blessed them in making them husband and wife, and for keeping them faithful and true to one another through thick and thin, through good times and troubled times. where the gospel will be witnessed in them

  • @Polkadot2480 among many things, but none more pronounced as the steadfastness of their fidelity towards one another as the hallmark-to Christ in the praise of it all-to all their friends, children, and even grandchildren.

  • You keep blowing my mind. Great lecture. I am a guy and slowly have been building up this world picture and your just filling in all the gaps

  • I don't get the "Substitute daughter" thing...

  • ????

  • Very true,Girls golooking for love in the wrong places.

Some of girls who have been promiscious in the past, try to find male affection in men.

God's plan for girls to be affirmed by the their Daddy's.

  • @savedbygrace1972

    and by God

    and by their (future) husbands

  • Thank you for preaching with boldness and truth in a world that doesn't like truth or tries to twist everything and leaves out either truth or love when in realtity.... truth and love go hand-in-hand!

  • I'm seventeen and I still sit in my daddy's lap, too. There's nothing wrong with it.

Dr. Baucham, you made some excellent points!

  • no He didn't and no I didnt need to hear janet jackson was a theologeon or ball games? Ball games are nothing, they will do nothing for you in the Day except your gonna see much stubble burn... what blasphemy .... oooh I repent for sharin these vids with anyone, sure lots of truth but who needs humanistic philosophy in the body of Christ? It is written a little leaven leavens the who lump.

  • I also agree, he made a few good points, but he also mixes personal opinion and I had to stop here. I think its very important whenever any of us listen to people speak concerning God that we listen on the offensive and submit it to the word of God, not that it "sounds good".

  • I beleive his Janet Jackson comment was said in sarcasim. There is nothing humanistic about this man. He was making a point about men and emotion wjen he mentioned the ballgames.

  • Wow... Can you not tell that he was being sarcastic. Pay attention to the message!

  • Im sorry but I agree

  • "They seem to have more points than my team" LOL

A tragedy of the modern concept of love is the fact that too many women and men pass up on good men and women simply because they've lost that BURST of Cupid-like love.

  • "Girl if you leave me, I'm going with you"

    LOL

Dr Voddie, you are making excellent points on love.

  • That is cute right? :~P

  • lol... yes it is.
