I fail to see the point of the parry in the second move. If you're already out of the path of the blade, such a parry becomes wasted movement; in the time it took you to do that little jab thing, you could have taken him off at the knees or disemboweled him.

Ineffective and dangerous. Mr. Tew can be struck every time he raises his elbows above his chest with those blocks. He is also blocking where it would actually be easier and safer to counter-cut. I would love to see him make these work in keiko. Fantasy = Fatality.

Why hitting his sword after you've successfully dodged? Is it to control his blade if he tries to redirect it? Still, doesn't seem logical, just cut at his hands or head as fast as you can. Also, good luck blocking with foible, no idea how "the weak" is called in Japanese. It's good that you're advicing to step out of the line, but you don't mention what to do if he keeps the pressure on your blade, you can't just remove it in this case, you have to wind your own sword or disengage.

For those wondering: bo-k-ken (short o and short e) in japanese-to-enlish spellings double letters get theres own syllable, the more literal way to spell bokken is bokuken

I been teaching martial arts for 10 years now, 1 thing to note is that not ever style or school has the same names and meanings for the names, a good idea is instead of saying "This is angle 1,2,3" other than that im happy watching it
