  • this video is so cute! i dont know why I got such a kick out of it.. watching it as I clean the house today :) loll

  • I'm right there with you, Lisa -- I never take my wedding rings off! Unfortunately, last summer the back of the shank split (I guess I wore it out) and I had to go without if for a couple of weeks while it was being repaired. At that time, the jeweler also re-tipped all 6 prongs. Since then, I've had 2 prong tips break off. I'm really getting frustrated because I hate being without it. Has this ever happened to your ring? I'm wondering if I should just start all over with a brand new setting.

  • thats one of the best cooking tips i've heard thank you!!

  • AWESOME PB TIP!! I can't believe I did not know that or ever hear it!

  • Oh my goodness! "Cinch" is the best stuff since sliced bread!!! I've not been able to find it in years. I cleaned mirrors this morning with another brand and was like: Grrrr streaks...

My Mission for the day: FIND Cinch...

  • I take off ALL my jewelry as soon as I walk in the door...even my diamond ring. I can't sleep in any jewelry at all. I dunno guess I'm weird!

  • The picture at the beginning of this video makes you look like Carrie underwood :)

  • You seem to be such a sweet lady. I really enjoy your videos. I love the peanut butter tip. I will definitely be using that the next time I make anything with peanut butter.

  • Invisible Glass is great for glass and windows- no streaks at all. You can get it at auto parts stores.

  • I love this type of video and was so helpful. Us moms can use any tips to make our life easier. I am going to try the peanut butter trick next time. I absolutely LOVE No Bake cookies and don't know why I don't make them myself since they are such a breeze to do but can just keep eating them without realizing I have gone carried away, LOL! Have a great day!

  • I love your PB tip!! Thank you Lisa! I sure enjoy watching you....you are a joy. Thanks for your positive outlook and beauty, cooking and outfit tips! :)

  • I don't know if you live by Charlotte or not but there's a great CCO in Concord Mills Mall. It's Estée Lauder so it carries Mac, Bobbi Brown and various other brands that ES owns ;)

  • Lisa, i couldn't remember the glass cleaning product you mentioned so I whipped out my phone while in Walmart to watch this video again. LOL! Stacie xo

  • @thejools123 LOL! I hope you found it!! Have a great week! xoxo Lisa

  • it's a good idea to avoid air fresheners - they are really toxic

  • And one more thing. You should check out the Fit Flops if you like your havianas. I have them in the Pietra style and they are sooooooo comfy and beatiful. I've worn them two years now and I love them just as much as when I first got them. If you get them, make sure you go down a size because they stretch to fit your foot like a glove. Take care! xo

  • Lisa!! This was a fun video. Please do more like this. Love ya! xox

  • Your color is perfect!

  • domestic tip: to avoid streaks when cleaning glass use newspaper instead of paper towels. you can use windex or plain old white vinegar and have spotless/streakless windows/mirrors/glass. :)

  • Lisa, you always manage to cheer me up when I've had a rough day. XO!

  • Lisa please keep doing this kind of video!!!!

  • You look fabulous!!!!!

  • i really enjoyed this video it was just something a bit different.

  • Wow, I love that peanut butter tip!!!! That is great, I always make a mess when I am measuring out peanut better :) Thanks so much for the tip!!

  • You are adorable. I want to adopt you as my Southern mother.

  • love this video! Its fun for me to see what others use to clean or how they clean because I enjoy a clean house... just makes me feel happy =) I bought a case of the Spin and Span after you mentioned no streaks! even all the reviews say the same thing. Cant wait to try it. Thanks Lisa!

  • I love this look today!!

  • Hello Gorgeous!!!

of course you've always been gorgeous lisa :) but it just has to be said that the new set up is ever so Flattering! VAVAVOOM! heehee *hearts*

btw. i remember you mentioning a scrubbing bubble or some kind of detergent helps with whitening the natural nail?? i cannot find the video for the life of me 0.o thank you in advance for the recommendation!

  • North Carolina! I was curious where you were from! Loved this video-you are a true "domestic goddess"!!!

  • Loved this sharing! I love Cinch so much I had to buy a box of it on line!!! I use it for all mirror and glass, even the car! It's great! Great peanut butter tip! Thanks for always sharing Lisa! I was wondering if for your lighting, if you may consider the background color? The walls, the light, your hair and even your lighter complexion give almost a monochromatic appeal (no insult intended!!).

Maybe if you put up a colored sheet behind you or something to add contrast?

    Just a thought. :-)

  • loved this video Lisa, i hope you will do more like this, its always learn something new in every category!!

  • omg Lisa i was just thinking of you today and wondering how do you clean your house and if you have a cleaning schedule and here you are talking about it love , love love this videos . thank you

  • "You don't wanna know all that stuff" YES WE DO! Lol!

  • Your eyes are just....uh....beautiful....

  • Can you do a tutorial on how you did your eye makeup in this video? Thanks so much! :)

  • LOVE that peanut butter tip!!! Never heard of that :)

  • Thanks Lisa for the cleaning tips. I enjoy these videos-They are really useful.

  • Hi Lisa! I don't use the bucket either..I fill the kitchen sink up also..I thought I was the only one whodoes it like that! :) I hated the Swifer Wet jet! This is a Fun video...I like to see what you use! :) We moved into our house a couple months ago and thinking of putting hardwood floors...what do you have we do have a dog and my son is 4 yrs old. Have to check the Pledge out..want to try it! LOVE Febreeze air effects too..have u tried there LE Pumpkin harvest..LOVE it! LOVE U! XOXO,Tara

  • that peanut butter tip is genius! great video lisa. thanks for sharing. i'm gonna go measure some peanut butter right now! take care.

  • Way back in the day, that is how I was taught to measure shortening or butter in cooking class. It's a Great way to measure anything that is an oily base or substance. I love your videos. I hope Will is better soon. :)

  • I always use those Chlorox wipes to clean my countertops, stove, and coffee tables (not wood). For floors, I like the Mr. Clean lavender scented cleaner. I do use that Febreeze air fresher you showed and you're exactly right about the smell-that's exactly what I think it smells like too! On my tub/shower I use they Chlorox bleach spray cleaner and for toilets I have those Chlorox bleach tabs that drop into the back tank and I use the Chlorox disposable toilet wands to clean the bowel. Geez... m

  • O My!! I neeed that Cinch!!! i use Windex to clean my breakfast table and it is always hazy and streaky!!

It needs to be said that your makeup looks exceptional here!!

  • I LOVEEEEEEE your make up today, and i am a makeup artist and this is a very nice work :) please tell me what eye shadows are you using? and your lipstick :)

  • BTW, how are you liking the 2" curling iron? I am thinking of going up to the 2" from my 1 1/2". Let me know what you think of the one you've got so far.

  • @leshizzi I love my 2" curling iron--it is VERY different from the 1 1/2"--I like both--but the 2" gives a lot less curl--but smooths very easily! HTH! :)) Lisa

  • Great tips. Thanks Lisa.

  • The peanut butter tip was such a good idea!! Thanks Lisa! xoxo

  • I also wanted to ask what is your natural color? I was told you should never go more than three levels. I thought previously you stated your natural hair color is a brown shade. How do you manage to lighten your hair every for weeks without massive damage. PLEASE tell me so I can stop feeling so blah with this hair color of mine. Ok, yes great hair means a great day:D

    Thx (again)

Can't wait for the next "D" video :D

  • the earring are quick to throw on, but they look nice.

I will have to try that peanut butter trick. I wish I would of known that when I made my cookies..LOL!

I too do not like change, I do not adapt well LOL!!!

Which leads me to my next dilemma. I have been blonde forever! This past year, I was talked into going darker. I hate it! But my hair sustained A LOT of damage during the coloring process. HOW can I get my hair healthy enough to be colored again? Do you do in salon treatments?? Thx

  • I really liked this Video!

I am going to look for the Pledge. I too like the rag mops, but I was told you can not use a rag mop on hardwood floors. I am also going to check on Cinch. I hate smudges, but god knows if you have a lived in house, you got finger prints(the never ending battle). My mom also loved her birds.

I loved your baking tip and I LOVE no bake cookies. I just made sugar cookies, pumpkin cream cheese and no bake peanut butter cookies. I have the earrings your wearing. I like >>

  • love your videos!!! need to find me some rachel k cc cream!!!! where can we find it? xoxo alisha

  • Hey Lisa....have you found any information yet on where we will be able to purchase the Rachel K CC Cream? I've been searching myself but no luck so far...

  • This was a wonderful video. We all have a home that we clean. I love the OOTD. You still look amazing. A real life beauty. I will have to try the cleaners. I would love to see your bird "brother and sisters". You are right they will more than likely be yours. Don't they live to like 90? Thanks for sharing. Hope Will gets to feeling better.

  • Love these, Lisa! Please do more!

Definitely do a talk show, your hubby is right...or was it book

  • Hi, have you looked at the chanel holiday collection? I think you would really love the sweet beige glossimer it is beautiful

  • I want more domestic videos! ;D

  • Thanks for the household product share! It's fascinating that your dad has a super sensitive sniffer (more so than your mom!). Biologicially, females are typically hard-wired with the stronger sense of smell. It's a maternal protection thing. The way we're created. :-) Great to hear about the Febreeze spray! I've been thinking of trying something other than Oust. I'll keep the Febreeze in mind. Best to you! Jeeps (Kristin)

  • WHen you messed around with the gamma it made a little better. Maybe set it half way. Hope this helps sweet heart :)

  • Great video idea, Lisa! You look beautiful! :) ~Amanda

  • Hey Lisa! I was wondering if you (or anyone!) know when the next Ulta Friends and Family is? Can't find it online..but I'm still searching!

  • The picture looks too blue and your skin is not as warm looking as with the other camera! Hope your hubby can help! Take care of yourself and your family! :)

  • You seem like the coolest mom! lol

  • Great video, Lisa! Could you do a video about time management and how you plan your daily schedule, please? You look gorgeous!

  • This is how you know I am a devoted follower: My cleaning lady came today and I jogged while I listened to this post, and I STILL went to 3 different stores looking for that floor cleaner. Ended up with Murphy's oil and a new mop. Lol

  • I would certainly say turn the gamma up some and maybe tweak the "color" bar--you're a bit blue and dark. Nothing offensive, though.

God, I wish I had more time to be domestic...my bathroom is looking HORRENDOUS. *twitch*

  • also, LOVE that your "not leaving the house" look includes full makeup...ugh, you should see MY not-leaving-the-house look! yikes! ;) thanks for your videos!

  • wow, loved these tips- thanks so much! :)

  • You should do a house tour!

  • lisa i have hardwood floors too and i bought the shark steam mop it just cleans and mop with hot steam im scared to use chemicals on the floor with my dogs...is that you use ok to use with animals im looking for something to use if not all the time once in a while...i like this type of video so good job....

  • love this video lisa!

  • Love this video!

  • My birthday is also in September and the stone I lost was in a ring given to me by my husband after I had my son, I was heartbroken when I looked down and the stone was gone, should have insured it like you did. Lesson learned.

  • even cleaning can't take your sexy away!! LOL

  • Love this video Lisa!!! Hope you do more like it.

  • You could also just keep the video levels the same as they are, it doesn't really matter!

  • Whatever you did with the Gamma worked to brighten the darks. Look back at the video right at :40 seconds you'll see it. Gamma adjustment makes the darks lighter. Contrast makes both the blacks darker and also the lights brighter. If you've already lowered the contrast, you might want to just very slightly adjust the gamma. Not trying to be annoying just trying to help you. :)

  • You look beautiful as usual..I had to comment on those NO BAKE COOKIES...I LOVE them..I grew up eating them. Our lunch room in school always served them..I make them a lot. My kids grew up on them and still love them..they are so easy and delicious..and healthy..ha..really peanut butter and oatmeal..can't go wrong with those..I love this video for a change..do more please..

  • OMG!! My daddy has a African Grey who is amazing at talking. She says things in different ppls voices! AND bc their life span is long, he left her to me in his will!

  • Hey Lisa! I LOVE that you did this kind of video! It was so sweet the way you said ' I was thinking of you..." and then went on to share things that girlfriends actually share :-) I will definitely be looking for Cinch because Windex and Zep both streak and drive me crazy! The Febreze you mentioned is my favorite too, and while I'm not really big on scented candles I have to say that Yankee Candles "Fluffy Towels" makes the entire room smell lightly of Downey fabric softener!

  • Method wood floor cleaner (I buy it at Target) smells really good-like almond extract. I've seen the Cinch at Dollar Tree if you have one of those. I'd love to see you make a recipe in your kitchen sometime.

  • Hi Lisa! Wow, this new camera shows just how pretty you are, I think the settings are fine. I really love all of your videos and tips. I love how you take care of your house and family as well as yourself. I started watching you back when I was a working mom and wife and learned so much from you. Now that I'm a working single mom, I still take the time to look my best no matter how busy life can get. I have learned so much from you and always get so happy to see a new video from you and I don'

  • LOL @ your air freshner elaboration!

    Great tip re: PB! :-)

    Here's my domestic 2 cents->>

Girls, get yourselves some Poo-Pourri! :-)

"Sprintz The Bowl Before You Go And No One Else WIll Ever Know"

It works! I got a household of boys! LOL

  • Loved this video, Lisa! More, more!! =)

  • I thought I was the only one who used a rag mop. It's what my mom use's and her mom used before her, would feel weird using anything else.

  • you know your video the other day talking about having a job but not punching a time clock really got me thinking. you know, back in the 50's it was perfectly acceptable for a mom to just be a "mom". Nowadays, if you don't have a toddler or homeschool I feel like people look down on you if you don't work. I have heard a few comments here and there. I enjoy being a momma and make a lot of sacrifices to do it. We need to bring back the old days!

  • Looking gorgeous as always Lisa! This was a very helpful video- I'm always looking for good products to keep my place clean. Living with my boyfriend and another guy can be messy sometimes!

  • My husband has been doing wood floors for 16yrs, so my whole house apart kitchen and bathrooms are wood and I love the look of it so easy to clean happy cleaning!!!

  • I don't see anything wrong with your video appearance, but you definitely are NOT looking washed out. Quite the contrary. Your color is very good. I wouldn't waste anymore time on it. :-)

  • I think when you adjusted the gamma setting a little it made the picture not so contrasty looking.

  • Hi Lisa,Thanks for the great suggestions will look for the pledge(no rinse)a good thing.I use my Windex to clean my stainless and porcelain.Noticed in the down bar your using the Rachel K MP as well, did you have better luck w/her website?LOL about not forgetting the KA...they don't forget much.Enjoy your day:)

  • Tuesday Tips!!

  • Lisa, you make all your subscribers feel like girlfriends! I certainly enjoyed the tips and I'm sure others will too. Even though this was "domestic" tips, it's still empowering, bc it's women helping other women....even if it's something as a trick on how to get peanut butter out! Anything to make our lives easier. You're awesome!

  • I just recently moved out of my parents so I'm on my own for the first time and could use all the domestic tips I can get, thank you Lisa! :)

  • @Evey202 That is a fun and exciting time--I loved it--have fun making your new home perfect! :)) Lisa

  • I love that video!!! And i would love to hear more domestic, housewifey stuff! once you said you could write a book full of advice on being a wife, stay at home mom and so on. and i would really really love to hear more about that!!!! love all your videos so much!!!

  • @saudadedeinkinka Thank you!! I do plan on vlogging more--I just need to get my thought organized so I do not ramble so much!! Thanks for watching! :)) Lisa

  • Love it Lisa! I was a stay at home mom for almost 8 years - and even now I am the one who does most of the D type stuff in the home - so I always love learning secrets from other D type people LOL ;)

    XO!

  • @elusive73 That's the way it is, isn't!!? You bring home the bacon, AND fry it up in a pan! LOL! (and scrub the pan, too!) Thanks for watching! :)) Lisa

  • @LisaLisaD1 Yup! In the pan that *I* found cause I knew it would work well for the money LMAO

    hugs

  • Domestic Goddess Lisa!

  • @waspprincess :)) Thanks for watching! :)) Lisa

  • I love your makeup today! i just love your videos and what you do here!

  • @darbygirl03 Thank you--Thank you! :)) Lisa

  • Thanks for the peanut butter tip! I love to bake for the holidays, the tip will come in handy. Take care.

  • @oceansblue08 Yes!! I love holiday baking--not good for the hips, though! Pumpkin Pie and Carrot Cake are my faves! :)) Lisa

  • Thanks for the tips! I love the PB one. Do you clean on the same day each week and follow a 'schedule'? I find its hard for me to keep on a cleaning schedule so I'm always curious to hear how others keep their houses clean. I hope Will feels better soon!

  • @5995char I used to have a schedule--but these days, I just try to do one "major" thing each day--mop, clean out fridge, change sheets on beds, bathrooms, etc--one of those each day, and of course, the laundry and dishes etc are daily--and the CONSTANT picking up and folding!! I need to get stricter about my little ones helping and picking up after themselves--working on that! Thanks for watching! :)) Lisa

  • My dad's a bloodhound too! Thanks for the domestic video, I'm 26 and a relatively new stay at home mommy, it's nice to hear the "tried and true" solutions, so I don't have to try a hundred different things!!!

  • @WildOliveBranch84 Enjoy your time homemaking--it is the best!! I love a clean home with a candle burning--something in the oven---fireplace on---perfect!! Thanks for watching! :)) Lisa

  • thanks Lisa! I loved this video! I enjoyed listening to you this morning while i'm drinking my coffee at my desk. felt like I was visiting with a friend! :) i have been cooking a LONG time girl and I did not know that peanut butter trick. thanks so much!!! hugs, cathy

  • @GotJesusCathy Hey Cathy!! Good--we can all learn from each other--I know you could teach me a lot!! One time I was on a mission to make the PERFECT Pound Cake--I made a new one almost every day--my parents loved it--LOL! I never mastered it--but it was fun, and fattening!! Have a great day!! xoxo Lisa

  • @LisaLisaD1 thanks so much Lisa! :)

  • Regarding cleaning with your beautiful wedding ring on, make sure you have your prongs checked periodically. I always cleaned with my rings on and I lost a sapphire stone while cleaning because the prong was lose and I didn't notice the stone was missing until after I dumped the water out. I think the video looked great. Hope your son gets better soon.

  • @msmom2one1 Oh goodness, you are right--I will keep checking! We have it insured, but it would not be the same--THIS diamond is special because John picked it out--and had it set for me--I LOVE the sapphires, it's my birthstone--I would love to have some added to my wedding set--that is a beautiful combo! Thanks for watching and making me "think"!! :)) Lisa

  • That febreeze is the best smelling stuff around! I love it so much!

  • @goodonebruce I loooooove but here in China is soooooooooooooo expensive!!! lol

  • @goodonebruce I do, too! Thanks for watching! :)) Lisa

  • I loved this video! I am going to look for Cinch here in Knoxville. I'm glad you mentioned about the Febreeze being OK around birds because I have to check everything to make sure it's not bad for birds. We have a Cockatiel and a Conure. (Julian and Paco) Love your tip about the peanut butter too! (thanks to your mom) When my son was little we used to make No Bake Cookies....it was one of the first things I taught him to make. Please do another video like this. Thanks!

  • @conuregirl007 thank you for watching! xoxo Lisa

  • useful tips, nice video as always, hope Will gets better real soon!

  • @71carol Thank you, he is better!! :)) Lisa

  • Oh my gosh, I haven't seen that Cinch in years! I used to use and love that stuff! You're right, it's way better but I just thought they quit making it. Haha, I'm like your Dad with smells. Febreeze is my fav too but I use the Gain one and Pumpkin right now. :) I take my rings off each night but hubby never does. He's odd about that. Parsons amonia & hot water is what we used in the sonic cleaner when I workin in jewelry. Works great! Loved this video, Lisa. xoxo~Crystal

  • This was a great surprise and nice change to your videos, More please!, maybe a kitchen tour

  • I love the smell of murphy's oil soap A++++!!!

  • Also, when you are scooping the peanut butter into the measuring cup, spray the spoon with cooking spray and the pb will just slide right off the spoon. :)

  • Cute video and love the PB tip! :)

  • Thanks for the tips! I enjoy cleaning my home and baking so you ticked two boxes with this vid!

  • Lisa I just love you talking to me!!!! I find myself smiling. Love Bev.xx

  • Hi Lisa! These were great tips and a great video. You should start a new series and call it "Home Life with Lisa". :) xoxo Claire

  • Great tips! I want to find the window cleaner. The tip about measuring peanut butter...who knew! Thanks~~Di

  • Lisa its great to see that you keep life real !!! Your so Glam and well kept but you still scrub your own floors and talk about cleaning products with such enthusiasm !!! • Hey Lisa!I loved today's video! So helpful!I loved the gamma setting at 00:39 and 00:40.Otherwise the picture is kind of dark.I know that you are scared of looking washed out but now is kind od dark, not in your face but in your frame.Thank you!

  • Yay for North Carolina girls!!

    Love// Anna from Sweden

  • I was arguing with you today, Lisa. I was screaming "My mom is the best cook" Lol. Aren't moms just best cooks ever? Nobody can beat that. Not even Gordon Ramsay :-) Love listening to you :-) Hugs, Hana xxx

  • I would love to see a cooking video! Love you Lisa!

  • Great tips!

  • haha I don't think we can get any of these exact same products Down Under, but this was so fun to watch anyway! Thanks Lisa xx

  • Loved the tip on the penut butter, you should do more videos like that : )

  • I use that pledge cleaner too, great tips, more of these type vids please!

I never take off my wedding ring either, even when i had many operations i got them to tape my ring, before going into theatre.

  • So funny you say about those little black there is a neighborhood cat that visits us with little black feet and we think they are adorable ... never noticed a cat with them before so had to laugh when I saw your note on your cat pic... Cute cat xx

  • Great tip with the peanut butter! I thought you were gonna say spray the measuring cup with Pam or oil it down. I like your mom's way of measuring waaaay better! lol Thank you, thank you, thank you for doing this video! I really needed to hear what you use for your hardwood floors because we have been having a hard time with various products. They would clean but leave the floors dull! The whole point of having hardwood floors is to accent the beauty of the wood! Love your outfit and makeup!

  • The peanut butter tip just genius!!! Never thought of that!! You look super cute on any cam!!

  • Looooove this vid Lisa!!! I have hard wood floors, and loved the info... Thanks so much. Also, I loved the how to measure peanut butter tip... Awesome! :)

  • Lisa, I have a great tip for you and every body else about mopping floors, etc. You said that you like the old fashioned cotton rag mops. So do I, but I buy the ones that are called 'deck mops'. They are VERY light weight and you can use them until they start to shed and look broken off and then throw them away and buy new ones. I even use the deck mops to clean my jacuzzi tub and shower stalls. WalMart carries them and so do Lowes. Also, Armstrong floor wash is great for tile. Liz

  • i love this look, i hope you do a tutorial on this eye look. Ur so gorgeous! God Bless.

  • That is a really good tip for peanut butter!

  • ooh i didn't know that peanut butter tip, i had no idea. thanks! i loved this video! :)

  • Im pretty sure that Pledge cleaner is available everywhere as I live in a small town in the west of Ireland its my favourite too! I use it for the tiles too and its brilliant,I get compliments on my floors too all the time! Tina xx

  • Thanks for the tips Lisa! Hope Will feels better asap!

  • Heey yall 2day im gonna make a :

    Quick

    Silly video

    Huh =p ????

  • Fun little vid. Thank you for sharing with us, Lisa. This black cat is so cute and, yes, those black little feets are so cute. Never had a black cat with black feets.. so so cute.

Have a great week, until later, much love to you (( hugs ))

  • My mom is just like your dad. She lost her hearing in her right ear when she was 3 and they say if you loose one of your senses that you have another one that is stronger and I do I believe it, because her nose is never wrong. I have always said if she ever smells gas or smoke you better get out of the house. Ha. I love that Febreze too and I also love the Lavender Vanilla scent. Great tip on the PB and it is funny we were just talking tonight about how we were craving PB cookies.

  • Can you do a video with the talking birds? x

  • I was fascinated by this video. I love hearing what other ladies do to keep house. The peanut butter tip will be remembered and used. Sometimes you mutter that we don't want to hear all that stuff - I'm here to tell you that I love hearing ALL your stuff , Lisa! Thank you for this domestic godess video.

  • you look stunning Lisa! I like the image settings!

  • cute cat

  • Thank you for the peanut butter measuring tip. When you turned the gamma a tad to the right the lighting looked more natural. Love all of your videos!

  • Loved this video!!! Makes me wanna clean!!

  • I love this video!! Please do more domestic videos!! LOVE!!

  • Great peanut butter tip. Thanks.

  • tutorial please
