@AvantChase I don't really think so, because near the end of their career, they almost broke up, because Ringo felt left out all of the time, but the guys told him how much he meant, and that he was the greatest drummer ever, I see them more as brothers.
John and Paul had a marriage, in a sense. They were very much in love. I've not seen such a brilliant relationship since, and there might not ever be one again. What a fine two they were. Love you, John. Love you, Paul.
@mward1995 INNOCENT! HE WAS A BABYBOOMER/HIPPIE HE MADE MONEY OFF THE BABYBOOMERS MAKING MUSIC THAT CONTRIBUTED TO THEIR CAUSE DURING THE 50's to the 60's DURING THE VIETNAM WAR SOILDERS WERE KILLED BY THESE DAM HIPPIES WHEN RETURNING FROM THE WAR THEIR WERE MURDERS,RIOTS, RALLIES WHICH MADE AMERICA LOOK LIKE A SHITHOLE HE DID NOTHING BUT TURN THE KIDS OF HIS TIME INTO POTHEADS AND HIPPIES
@M24Killa97 Yeah because John Lennon was really at the centre of all of that...he wasn't even American so how can he be held responsible? The Vietman war had been going on 16 years before he had any kind of "political" impact on the US (mainly the government wanting to deport him because he stood up for peace). My point is proven, "nobody can justify an innocent persons death", even when writing in capital letters...
@mward1995 That's true but he wasn't American so why interfere with America's problems, why motivate teens to smoke, risk their lives in the rallies, dozens of teens were shot in those things instead of supporting the troops in Vietnam he motivated the hippies to hate them, why do you think he was shot? the person who shot him, why did he do it as much peace as he wanted to bring he was doing more harm than helping he was a bad influence because people interpreted him the wrong way
@M24Killa97 You make John Lennon sound like he was some evil tyrant, but I don't see how. He just wanted the war to stop. And not everyone who listened to a John Lennon album feel like having a smoke and rioting in the street. John Lennon was an amazing songwriter, and shouldn't be seen as someone who was evil.
@Terry96335 Let me ask you, are you arguing on my topic because you see John Lennon as a hero in his songs, or because you know what you're talking about and that gives you the dying need to confront me on coversation that has nothing to do with you
@M24Killa97 Ignorance is bliss. What kind of person are you?? Your mother makes a statement that differs from yours.... what then?? Your children have a view that differs from yours.... what then. You mister are a fool, a dangerous fool. We all are entitled to have a voice, including milktoast people like yourself, soft arguments, soft rhetoric. YOUR topic? Well its comedy actually. @M24Killa97 Read what you write... perhaps not stated exactly as "wished"... sorry for that. However, you write with no education. America was a "shithole"... its foreigh policy still stinks and reaks of intrigue. John's voice wasn't "toss shit at the soldiers... it was toss shit at the joke, the government of the US of A". @M24Killa97 Well America was a mess...everyone knows that. An ignorant president did it all. Not strong enough to pull troops out of Vietnam... John screamed loud about it. Good for him. One rule of the internet: Do not feed the trolls. You are. Just stop before they totally and completely annihilate you. Because when you say something like that, they will.
@JimColyer. Lennon up to 71 was genius. From Sometime in NY City LP onwards he was ordinary. STINYC was rubbish, Mind Games was very ordinary, the sort of mush that Macca started doing in the mid 70's, Walls & Bridges was ok but far from genius. Lennon's sloganeering songs were dreadful, they ruined his art. Lennon acknowledged that politics ruined his work. McCartney's work up to 71 was genius as was some of it up to 74. Thereafter Macca has occasionally come up with great songs
@JimColyer I do not agree with that. Aligning with peace movement isnt what made Lennon's work have substance, I believe that if he made it about something else it would still have substance. And Paul 's solo work isn't that bad, it just isn't that spiritual or something. I think that this shows a little that the psychedelic peace stuff came from John and not from Paul and that it was good, that's all it shows.
@JimColyer I think Paul's early solo work was pop rubbish. At least John stayed dark and brooding and real. And collaborated with George and Ringo. Wings?....come on, Paul.
The king of Exploitation...Paul McCartney will do anything for applause. Funny how it has taken him 30 years to care about the guy who made him famous.
@JimColyer I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT AT ALL, THEY REMAINED FRIENDS TILL THE END, AND WHY WOULD PAUL BE JEALOUS OF JOHN, THEY BOTH WERE SOME OF THE BEST TALENT EVER AND THERE WILL NEVER BE ANY OTHERS LIKE THOSE OF THE BEATLES....
and to think Lennon was killed by a germ, this germ ought to be let out of prison and made to walk the streets of New York city for the rest of his life carrying a poster of John Lennon
There was a love between these guys that no one will ever begin to know. They were friends at the end. That's all that matters between buds. No one has any say or any comment that can beat that.
@shizay74x oh yeah? what would it had been of the Beatles with out "let It Be" "yesterday" "Hey Jude" "Abbey Road album and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" which were Paul's ideas, if you think that Paul was what u said, well i just have to say you're an ignorant as fuck.
@flakbac Your a fucking asshole. Appreciate that he's a human like the rest of us, with feelings. He loved John Lennon. You need to find compassion and love within yourself, please stop being so jedgemental or you'll end up one of lonely people, bitter and loveless.
@flakbac He`s rich for a reason, he worked hard to get where he is now. Maybe you would be rich too if you actually worked hard and stopped wasting your life on the internet. People who pour their lives into their work succeed at it and get money, not the people who complain about rich people. Honestly, grow up.
I've always thought macca was a bit of a cringeworthy twat, but his genius in the Beatles is unquestionable. the guy wrote Lady madonna, Elanor Rigby and the Fool on the Hill... that alone is god like.
Lennon was on a different world to every one else as a songwriter but fair play to Macca. We have to remember that John and Paul were mates from childhood and you can be very bitter and personal when you know somebody so well, but deep down i just know in the end they still cared for each other.
it's such a shame those two stopped talking. i guess that's what happens when two geniuses are with each other for every day for the better part of a decade. the world lost john lennon that december night, but paul lost his world.
@shizay74x All the beatles were nothing without each other and that's a fact I don't want any of them to die, and without Brian Epstein they would most likely have kept covering Elvis and Buddy Holly songs and never went anywhere.
@07foxmulder They didn't completely stop talking. They hung out a few times, and Paul always takes solace in the fact that their last phone conversation was really friendly and they were talking about their kids and domestic life. They were still brothers, but they had their own lives and needed their own space -- John especially. He was a little sick of Paul, but undoubtedly still loved him.
This always moves me..been a Beatles fan since I was 12. Many many years ago...and a people watcher I like to observe Paul and john were close as kids both lossing mothers they bonded like brothers. Then came the fame. Money. Wives and they had to grow up and jealously and brickery got between them but they were still brothers.Paul never got to tell john how important he was to him. But I imagine he knew
There are many dimensions to love. Paul's love for John is one of friendship and caring. Paul misses John as we all do. I think of John's passing around this time every year and still makes me cry to this day. John was truly taken before his time and will always be missed and loved by so many. Rest in peace John.

@Lennon4ever1 That's what I was wondering. Maybe he kept rehearsing it over and over again before performing it.

The king of Exploitation...Paul McCartney will do anything for applause. Funny how it has taken him 30 years to care about the guy who made him famous.

@spm1021 "Here Today" is on his album "Tug of War" from 1982. You know nothing about the Beatles and Paul, do you?.

McCartney is jealous of Lennon to this day.
JimColyer 2 months ago

@flakbac Your a fucking asshole. Appreciate that he's a human like the rest of us, with feelings. He loved John Lennon. You need to find compassion and love within yourself, please stop being so jedgemental or you'll end up one of lonely people, bitter and loveless.
petercorral19 3 months ago 22
@flakbac the death of a close friend is always tough, money doesn't have anything to do with it
mtw9000 3 months ago

We have to remember that John and Paul were mates from childhood and you can be very bitter and personal when you know somebody so well, but deep down i just know in the end they still cared for each other.
blakefish80 3 months ago
hey paul remember when john said you were a cunt guess what he was right
flakbac 3 months ago
it's such a shame those two stopped talking. i guess that's what happens when two geniuses are with each other for every day for the better part of a decade. the world lost john lennon that december night, but paul lost his world.

shizay74x 3 months ago
@shizay74x All the beatles were nothing without each other and that's a fact I don't want any of them to die, and without Brian Epstein they would most likely have kept covering Elvis and Buddy Holly songs and never went anywhere.
619dawson 3 months ago
@07foxmulder They didn't completely stop talking. They hung out a few times, and Paul always takes solace in the fact that their last phone conversation was really friendly and they were talking about their kids and domestic life. They were still brothers, but they had their own lives and needed their own space -- John especially. He was a little sick of Paul, but undoubtedly still loved him.
superman11978 2 months ago
@07foxmulder They stopped talking for a while but then they started talking again, months later John passed away.
