  • It is hard for people who dont lift extremely heavy weights to realize how easy it is to get hurt lifting the weights even with good form and technique....Your joints are put under extreme stress and wear them down over time. I wish we had some of the equipment they have now when I was starting up in lifting it would have prevented a lot of stress relate injuries

  • @hzlwdcntrlftbll cool but who has that retarded idea to bring gear into competitions? What's next? Pallet jacks?

  • @m5p944 LOL pallet jacks that made me laugh pretty hard good one....I cant really comment on powerlifting gear in competition since my teams train Oly style lifting. My direct comment was to show support for the slingshot as it is a great piece of gear to protect shoulder injuries in the bench press, somthing that is common for a diverse group of athletes

  • What a fat puke. This guy needs to kill himself. He is a walking stroke

  • do these guys need to make gear for everything?! -_- how bout just doing real push ups? i wonder if when they sprint they put big springs on their shoes so they can just bounce along and not really have to run

  • @lovesgibson I basically made a similar comment on one of the videos for the Super Training gym, and got a really nasty email back from the videographer...you'd think the mere mention of not having to all the gear (they now wear wrist wraps, multi-ply shirts, sling shots on the elbows and elbow wraps, boards on the chest, and use steroids of course) to simply bench press was akin to insulting his wife and mother. Funny how folks want things to be easier now...

  • @cobuf yeah, whats the point of saying "i can bench press 800lbs" when without all of the gear you'd bench press 500

  • @lovesgibson on sunny day

  • fuck you guys! always saying ed coan is in ur vids so i click on ur vids and it's just you fat fuckers!

  • @lovesgibson lolol

  • haha I laughed pretty hard at the joke.

  • So whats the point of the sling shot... It seems like it would be an assisted pushup device seeing that it helps straighten the arms- is this true? if so wouldn't that kind of ruin the point?

  • @ValiantATHLETE The slingshot is a bit like using either a bench shirt, bands or even chains. They all help through part of the movement, getting you off the sticky, weakest point, which means you’ll be able to handle more weight. So the point is that – being able to handle more weight or more reps.

  • @costantin75 So cheating essentially?

  • @flangmasterj Cheating means you're hiding your purpose, or using a resouce that others can't when in a competition. Most of all, the slingshot is a safety tool. Because of my rotator cuff injuries, I've been unable to perform heavy benches for several years. I've been using the slingshot for about 3 months and having tons of fun with it. My bench is making progress again. Bands and chains are very fun and usefull also. Give them all a try.

  • @flangmasterj No it overloads the triceps, which most people fail on on the bench.

  • This joke is just never going to get old is it? :-D And I don't see why it should!!

  • Doesn't look like you need the slingshot.
