This movie is just......undescribeable. It's very touching and really makes you feel like shit in the end. And that's one of the reasons it's in my movie TOP10. This was the most captivating, brilliant, and beautifully done film I've ever seen about a haunting subject, from the acting right down to the sometimes dreamy soundtrack and score.
Powerful and important stuff that shows different perspectives that too many people are unwilling to acknowledge exist.
Infatuation. A bottomless black hole. When the object of the former is in possession of the latter, the infatuated can fall in that hole quicker than sugar sweetens coffee. This film hit a tender nerve and could do to educate more than a few were they only willing to view.
I agree. Those people who are not emotionally mature enough to sift through the blatancy and intensity are really not worthy to witness this film. There is a concrete message here that gets dismissed due to all the intimacy and disturbance, and people seem to disparage it. As you said, the infatuation in this movie between man and child is a sensitive subject-since it goes both ways. The proverbial "bottomless black hole" is in part due to the emotional manipulation inflicted. Powerful film-raw.
God I REALLY love these two scenes. They're definitely the best in the movie! :D But I really don't mean to be rude, but why is it considered "cool" to be bi? Not that it's bad or anything, but why cool? It just seems somewhat arbitrary...

This was the most captivating, brilliant, and beautifully done film I've ever seen about a haunting subject, from the acting right down to the sometimes dreamy soundtrack and score.
Powerful and important stuff that shows different perspectives that too many people are unwilling to acknowledge exist.

Infatuation. A bottomless black hole. When the object of the former is in possession of the latter, the infatuated can fall in that hole quicker than sugar sweetens coffee. This film hit a tender nerve and could do to educate more than a few were they only willing to view.

I agree. Those people who are not emotionally mature enough to sift through the blatancy and intensity are really not worthy to witness this film. There is a concrete message here that gets dismissed due to all the intimacy and disturbance, and people seem to disparage it. As you said, the infatuation in this movie between man and child is a sensitive subject-since it goes both ways. The proverbial "bottomless black hole" is in part due to the emotional manipulation inflicted. Powerful film-raw.

It's ironic because I remember him playing a missionary dude (who's really homophobic) in Latter Days. Of course actors/actress always need to be versatile, no doubt about that. I think he played a convincing hot gay teenager in this movie :D
